AIR EUROPE ITALY will start these regular charter flights:
Milan Mxp-Bologna to Santo Domingo every saturdays until May 4th. 2003 with Volare Group A330/200 CY298.
Verona to Varadero-Cancun every fridays until end of April '03 ops with A330/200;
Verona to Rome FCO-Pointe a Pietre every saturdays until end of April '03 ops with A330/200;
Verona to Rome FCO-Punta Cana every sundays until end of April '03 ops with A330/200;
Verona to Rome FCO-Mombasa every mondays until end of April '03 with A330/200;
Verona to Rome FCO-Zanzibar every tuesdays until end of April '03 with A330/200.

AIR ONE with effect Dec. 16th. 2002 has reseumed the route Crotone-Rome FCO on daily basis with B737. With effect June 1st. 2003 until Sept.30th. 2003 will start the new route Verona -Lampedusa on twice weekly basis with B737.
Starting June 1s. 2003 until Sept. 30th. 2003 will resume the route Bologna-Lampedusa on twice weekly basis with B737.

Air A!ps (A6/Innsbruck) is reportedly planning to start thrice daily Do328-110 service between Bolzano and Munich on March 30, this new route would be operated in cooperation with Lufthansa (LH/Frankfurt).


Air Berlin (AB/Berlin Tegel) announced it will add more City Shuttle routes, starting February 1 it will operate daily flights from Berlin Tegel to Rome Ciampino, Vienna and Zurich. However, it will give up its daily Dusseldorf-Barcelona flight at the end of March.


Air Columbia (9X/Pescara) will soon change its name to Trasporti Aerei Italiani.


Air Industria (7Y/Rome Fiumicino) is planning to wet-lease either three Metroliners or Jetstream 31s to add more routes.


Air One (AP/Rome Fiumicino) will operate two weekly flights from both, Bologna and Verona to Lampedusa between June 1 and September 30 this summer.


Alisea Airlines (BBG/Palermo) is reportedly wet-leasing a MD Airlines (W3/Stockholm Arlanda) MD-83 at the moment as the delivery of the second B737-300 is delayed.


Alpi Eagles (E8/Venice Marco Polo) inaugurated daily Fokker 100 service from Milan Orio al Serio to Catania on December 21.


Lauda Air Italy (L4/Milan Malpensa) started operating a B767-300ER on behalf of start-up East African Safari Air (Mombasa) under a wet-lease agreement.


Snalskjutsen (Malmo Sturup), the low-cost subsidiary of Malmo Aviation (TF/Malmo Sturup) is planning to add several seasonal flights this summer. With ARJ-100s of Malmo Aviation it will operate flights from Gothenburg Landvetter, Malmo Sturup and Stockholm Bromma to Visby, from Gothenburg Landvetter to Dublin and Nice as well as from Malmo Sturup to Bologna, Glasgow Intl, Pisa and Venice Marco Polo.

British Airways (BA/London Heathrow) will add daily service from Manchester to Bologna, Pisa and Vienna operated by British Airways CitiExpress (TH/Isle of Man) on March 30.

germanwings (4U/Cologne/Bonn) will reportedly launch new routes from Cologne/Bonn to Athens, Bologna, Izmir, Lisbon, Pisa and Prague. In other news, it also applied for slots to start flights between Berlin Tegel and London Stansted.

SN Brussels Airlines (SN/Brussels) extended its codeshare agreement with British Airways (BA/London Heathrow) to the Brussels-Newcastle and Brussels-Bristol routes. It is also said to be close to new codeshare deals with Iberia (IB/Madrid), American Airlines (AA/Dallas/Fort Worth) and Alitalia (AZ/Rome Fiumicino). Starting March 30, it will operate several weekly flights to Istanbul and Tel Aviv Ben Gurion with its first A319-100.
