BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Iraqi television resumed broadcast in Iraq on Wednesday, after a pre-dawn coalition missile strike hit its Baghdad headquarters.

Earlier, with the station off the air, U.S. Central Command had said Iraqi President Saddam Hussein's command and control capabilities had been destroyed.

The strike on Iraqi TV and other Baghdad targets followed a day of ground battles south of the capital city.
