Inghilterra: ma gli incidenti non erano solo un brutto ricordo???

Novantacinque arresti, tutti inglesi, e 3 feriti, di cui due agenti di polizia: è questo il bilancio definitivo degli incidenti occorsi prima della partita fra Inghilterra e Turchia. Nella stessa serata altri 25 supporters del Newcastle e del Sunderland sono stati arrestati per una rissa in un pub (avevano fissato un incontro per progettare un attacco ai turchi, dopo l'uccisione 2 anni fa di un tifoso del Leeds).
Arrestati anche alcuni supporters del Leeds stesso.
La portavoce delle forze dell'ordine ha fatto sapere che la maggior parte degli incidenti sono avvenuti prima della partita e ha tenuto a sottolineare che fra le persone arrestate non ce ne sono di nazionalità turca.




MA NON DICEVANO CHE IN INGHILTERRA CON IL LORO SISTEMA PERFETTO AVEVANO RISOLTO IL PROBLEMA DELLA VIOLENZA NEGLI STADI???
OLTREMANICA CI SONO SCONTRI TUTTE LE SETTIMANE, ESATTAMENTE COME IN OGNI PARTE DEL MONDO.

Non discuto sul fatto che il servizio d'ordine inglese sia migliore al nostro (non ci vuole molto...), ma il "bello" è che tutti credono di aver distrutto il fenomeno hooligans in Inghilterra quando invece non hanno fatto un bel cazzo.
Le tifoserie si danno appuntamento prima della gara in un luogo particolare, magari lontano dallo stadio, e "regolano i conti".
Ecco che la violenza degli stadi non è un problema che hanno risolto, lo hanno solo spostato, nascosto, mascherato.

Two were arrested following the disturbance
Two people have been arrested after a train was vandalised by football supporters.
Swansea City fans returning from their team's game in Shrewsbury are alleged to have caused damage to the train as they changed services at Cardiff Central Station at 2000 BST on Saturday. Around 250 Swansea supporters arrived at Cardiff, where dog handlers and officers from South Wales Police were called in to help British Transport Police control the fans. The group of supporters was put on a First Great Western train bound for Swansea, which British Transport Police said some fans vandalised. The damage included smashed windows and broken light fittings, ceiling tiles and other internal fittings.
Repairs
British Transport Police added that the damage to the train is valued at thousands of pounds. The train has had to be taken out of service to be repaired. Other passengers at Cardiff Central were transferred on to alternative services. No members of the public were injured in the incident, but one British Transport Police officer was slightly hurt. Transport police officers added that further arrests are likely and are appealing for further information on the disturbance from the public.

England-Turkey

Police arrested 106 people as violence flared before, during and after England's match with Turkey in Sunderland. One supporter was injured as hundreds of England fans clashed with police on Wednesday evening. Those arrested were all taken to police stations in the Northumbria Police area. Among those held were 25 individuals known to be associated with hooligan elements of Sunderland and Newcastle football clubs, police said. Another group of about 30 suspected troublemakers were arrested in Fawcett Street in Sunderland after a disturbance when a press photographer was assaulted. Police on horses, backed up by officers with dogs, baton charged England supporters who were besieging the Turkish end at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland. Police said no Turkish fans were arrested as a result of the match, which England won 2-0.
Bottles thrown
The match had been given a high police priority, with around 1,000 officers on duty to prevent trouble between England fans and 5,000 Turkish supporters. At the height of the violence bottles, car wheel trims and bar stools were thrown at police. Superintendent Jim Campbell, of Northumbria Police, said the policing of the event had been successful. He said the main problems related to "different factions of English fans having a go at each other". "The main objective was to create an atmosphere where people could watch the match without being subjected to violence and we appear to have achieved that," he said. A spokesman for the Football Association said it had no responsibility for fans' actions outside the stadium.
Istanbul deaths
Local officers had liaised with their counterparts in West Yorkshire ahead of Wednesday's game. There had been fears some Leeds United fans may use the Euro 2004 qualifier to seek revenge after two of their supporters were stabbed to death before a game with Galatasaray in Istanbul in 2000. Officers from Northumbria Police and community leaders had appealed to fans not to cause trouble. Early on Wednesday officers raided a hotel in the centre of Newcastle and seized three men from the south of England on suspicion of ticket touting.

Liverpool - Manchester Utd, League Cup

Nothing on the scale of the last time united were in town. both sides knew this was likely to be the case though. lots of our lot used the train today and others decided to take the train home after going by other means. no hanging about after the game about 100 were on the first train that went direct to cardiff. at cardiff central there was untold amount of plod waiting for us. some left at the rear of the station, others went through the front. this did throw the plod and unfortunately they decided to keep an eye the bigger group. there was plenty of quality among this lot with not many under under 30's present. the other lot about 20 of them, did have a couple of experienced lads but was mainly younger lads. these slipped the ob and went to confront utd. unfortunately they bit off more thasn they could chew as about 60 united came out all guns blazing. chairs, bottles glasses the lot. cant see why they needed the ammunition though as not many of the ccfc stood. those who stood, did their best but at least one had a good kicking when on the floor. the other group were well wrapped up by plod, they even closed down pubs that we went in. repeated attempts were made to get around to the owen-or rsvp as its now known as united had been moved there from the borough, which was now also closed. but plod had the streets sealed off and dispite trying in small numbers to get around there. it was clearly a waste of time. there was a few scouse lads in the POW pub who were spoken to and they said they were only interested in united and said they loved their visits here. i think they thought that the 4 sc talking to them was a scouting party and that any minute ccfc would be in mob handed. but they seemed decent enough-for scousers that is. after 3 hours of fruitless attempts many from up these parts decided enough was enough and headed for the hills. nice sec 60 to round the night off, now be on your way boys. lets hope that as the night goes on that the locals use their areas well and give our guests some more fun.
but in the only bit of action tonight, it was united that came out on top. even though only about 5 stood against the pub and its contents.
ob won the day again with their blanket policing and harrassing of the sc that did make the effort. an effort that is becoming increasingly more pointless every time.
nice to see another fucking film crew with the ob tonight....not.

Aston Villa - Birmingham City

Police have condemned the behaviour of a minority of hooligans whose violent behaviour at a football derby led to two officers being taken to hospital and 40 arrests. The supporters were detained by West Midlands Police before, during and after last night's highly-charged match between arch-rivals Aston Villa and Birmingham City.It was the first meeting at Villa Park in the top flight for 16 years.
Chief Inspector Steve Glover said: "The behaviour of some supporters has been atrocious and has put many people in danger."
Around 15 supporters were arrested for public order offences by 9pm, when the first half had ended, though Mr Glover described this part of the match as "lively but relatively well behaved".
Tensions rose in the second half following the sendings-off of two Villa players and a brace of goals by City, who won 2-0.
Around 300 police officers and 400 stewards stationed inside the ground battled to stop fans invading the pitch to confront players and each other.
After the final whistle, riot police were pelted with missiles and fought running battles with fans from both sides outside the ground.
Mr Glover said officers were now working to try to identify troublemakers who had not been arrested.

Southampton - Wolverhampton FA CUP

A pensioner died and violence flared after Saints' FA Cup match yesterday in what police described as the toughest situation they had encountered since the club's move to St Mary's. The OAP collapsed and died of a suspected heart attack in nearby Andersons Road, though officers said his death was not related to crowd disturbances. However, 18 fans were arrested for grievous bodily harm and public order offences in the aftermath of Saints 2-0 victory, including 15 Wolves' followers. Three supporters from the Midlands club suffered head injuries during fights and were taken to Southampton General Hospital. Police said small gangs of Wolves fans, who masked their faces with scarves, seemed intent on starting clashes with home followers after the final whistle as they left the ground Chief Supt Graham Wyeth, match commander at the St Mary's Stadium, said: "It was possibly the biggest post-match challenge for the police we have seen since the relocation to the stadium. "It did stretch resources quite profoundly but we were able to react quickly to diffuse situations. "Regrettably after the match there were small groups of away supporters intent on starting running attacks on home fans. "There were a number of incidents where we had to break up groups and move them on." One Wolves fan needed treatment after being struck over the head with a brick near the ground, while two more suffered head injuries during a fight at The Elephant & Castle, Bursledon Road, Sholing. Police dispersed several groups in the North Car Park outside the ground and at one stage drew their batons in a bid to quell disturbances. Chief Supt Wyeth said the atmosphere in inside the stadium was relatively good humoured during the game, though eight of the arrests were made inside. "From what we saw, the Saints fans were not provoked into retaliation, which I can only praise them for. "We will be working with our colleagues in the west Midlands to progress inquiries. Violent behaviour at football matches will not be tolerated. "Both clubs have worked hard to create a family atmosphere at events such as this and it is a shame that a mindless minority attend a match with the intention of spoiling it for others."

Brighton - Crystal Palace

Eight arrests after football match Brighton and Crystal Palace are long-term rivals Eight people were arrested in Brighton city centre on Tuesday night after Brighton and Hove Albion's match with Crystal Palace. But Sussex Police heralded the night as a success and said it vindicated their policy of maintaining a "reassuring presence" in the city. The two football clubs have a rivalry going back decades and a history of bad feeling between the fans. The match finished in a 0-0 draw.
Sussex Police said in a statement the eight arrests had been made for "various public order offences" but stressed none of the offences involved serious assault or violence.

Sono perfettamente daccordo con Aug....la repressione, almeno per quanto riguarda il mondo ultras, non paga assolutamente. In Inghilterra il problema è stato solo spostato....nulla di più. Per evitare la violenza negli stadi ci vuole ben altro!
