A look at US daily deaths in Iraq

As of Monday, Sept. 29, 311 U.S. service members have died since the beginning of military operations in Iraq, according to the Department of Defense.
The British military has reported 50 deaths. Denmark's military has reported one death.
On or since May 1, when President Bush declared that major combat operations in Iraq had ended, 173 U.S. soldiers have died in Iraq, according to the latest Defense Department figures.
Since the start of military operations, 1,368 U.S. service members have been wounded as a result of hostile action, according to U.S. Central Command. Non-hostile injured numbered 327.
The latest deaths reported by the military:
A 17th Field Artillery Brigade soldier died Tuesday from a non-hostile gunshot wound at a base camp near Balad.
Two soldiers died when a military vehicle overturned in a Baghdad canal Monday night. A soldier from the 800th Military Police Brigade was trapped in the submerged vehicle and drowned. A soldier from the 82nd Airborne division drowned during an attempt to rescue the trapped soldier.
