Allargamento SkyTeam

Allora ci sono novità riguardo l'ingresso di nuovi membri.
è da un po di tempo che non si sente + nulla.
E' quasi certa l'entrata di NW e Co dopo KL.

Aeroflot ha finalmente deciso se vuole entrare in Star o in Skyteam?

Di South African Airways non si è saputo piu nulla. Non avrà mica cambiato idea?

E poi tutti gli altri rumurs di nuovi ingressi?

Malev vuole entrare?

La Thai sta gia in Star e credo che ci rimarrà nonostane Singapore Airways.
AF voleva comprarla quando la privatizzavano, ma poi l'hanno piu privatizzata la Thai?

Lo Stato thailandese sta mettendo in vendita adesso una quota minoritaria di Thai, ma ne conserverà il controllo...... perché il Primo Ministro è padrone della linea aerea interna concorrente e così si garantisce una concorrenza blanda.
Un po' come se da noi a Palazzo Chigi ci fossero Toto di Air One o Zoccai di Volare, o come se ci fosse il padrone del principale concorrente della RAI.

L'unica vera ammucchiata è e continuerà ad essere Star Alliance, come quelle ammuchiate/mischie del rugby.

CSA - Malév cooperation agreement

Chairman-CEO of Malév Hungarian Airlines László Sándor and his counterpart at CSA - Czech Airlines Jaroslav Tvrdik signed a declaration of intent on 26 February on developing closer and more efficient commercial ties between the two national airlines and on the Czech airline acting as an intermediary supporting Malév's earliest possible membership of SkyTeam.

In the course of several months of intensive negotiations, representatives from CSA and Malév debated and defined areas of potential cooperation between the two airlines i.e. optimizing and synchronizing network overlaps, aircraft maintenance and servicing, ground handling and catering. The two heads of the airlines signed the memorandum on cooperation in Budapest on 26 February 2004.

Associate membership holds enormous promise for Malév. As an associate member, Malév would be allowed to use the SkyTeam logo and establish bilateral agreements with other members of the alliance, plus it would afford entitlement to the numerous benefits passengers enjoy, for instance use of airport lounges and access to frequent flyer programmes. The only disadvantage of associate as opposed to full membership is the lack of voting rights in the decision-making process. The formation of a partner relationship with CSA also gives Malév the option of extending its route network in northern and northeastern Europe.

For CSA, cooperation with Malév opens the door to the Hungarian airline's already well-established network in southeastern Europe and the Ukraine, areas in which CSA currently has only slight coverage. The new partnership reinforces CSA's strategic role in SkyTeam within the Central and East Europe region, while as a team the two airlines may be able to reduce the impact of regional competitor Star Alliance.

Però Praga e Budapest non sono troppo vicine per diventare punti di snodo Skyteam nell'europa centro-orientale? mi chiedo chi prevarrà!

Sì, l'avevo letto da qualche parte. Se entrassero sia Tarom che Malev, ed eventualmente Aeroflot (spero) SkyTeam sarebbe ultracoperta in Europa orientale, una mossa non stupida se si pensa che dal 1 Maggio molti di quei paesi entreranno nell'Unione.

SAA sembra che sia destinata ad andare a STAR (peccato)... di Air Europa ne abbiamo parlato poco fa, dovrebbe entrare come membro "declassato", lo stesso che doveva succedere a FlyBe ma non ne so più nulla, come delle altre.

Air Europa dovrebbe diventare un membro associato.

KLM conferma che entrera' ma non dice quando.

La cinese piu' probabile e' China Southern ma ho letto anche di China Airlines (ma questo non creerebbe problemi con la Cina continentale?)

South African ha comunicato ufficialmente che entrera' in STAR.

EMIRATES, dall'alto della sua potenza, snobba allegramente tutte le alleanze (e fa code share con SQ e BA..)

MH, Kenya Airways, CO, NW sono probabili ma non si muovono ancora.....

TAM e VARIG hanno deciso che non si fonderanno piu', quindi si riapre la possibilita' per SkyTeam di mettere un piede in South America con TAM


A mio parere cmq, skyteam e' piuttosto deficitaria in molte aree del mondo. Asia e Oceania in particolare.
Pensate solo che dall'europa non potete andare con Skyteam in Australia a meno di passare per Seoul con KE, che al confronto di EK, CX, SQ, MH e TG fa ridere. E credo anche in confronto a BA e VS

Stavo pensando, dato che british midland e spanair e air europa entrano in qualche gruppo, cosa fanno air one e meridiana? Air one non potrebbe entrare in star alliance per fare prendere definitivamente forma al suo progeto di spalla germanica?

Da notare come meridiana senza code sharing di alcun tipo(solo alpi eagles) sia da anni in utile, o al peggio in perdita quasi nulla.BRavo lo sceicco!

P.S. la south african non aveva deciso poco fa? Mi pare o oneworld o star, forse mi sbaglio
