Chautauqua set for delivery of first Embraer 170s
Chautauqua Airlines will take delivery of its first two Embraer 170s at the end of Sept. and the new aircraft are expected to be in service by late Oct. for United Express.
Warren Wilkinson, VP-Marketing for Republic Airways Holdings, parent of Chautauqua, told ATWOnline the 170s will be painted in United's livery and configured with six first-class, 16 Economy Plus and 40 coach seats.
The aircraft will be placed on the Chautauqua certificate initially but will be transferred to sister company Republic Airlines, which is awaiting a separate certificate from FAA, Wilkinson said. Republic Holdings has 22 firm orders for Embraer 170s valued at $100 million.
Chautauqua operates a fleet of 94 ERJs on more than 585 daily flights to 70 cities in 31 states, Canada and the Bahamas under marketing agreements with United, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and US Airways.
