    Al-Fallujah.

People of al-Bu ‘Irrin attack puppet “national guardsmen” after they threaten to rape women of the district.

In a dispatch posted at 95pm Mecca time Wednesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fierce fighting erupted between puppet so-called “Iraqi national guard” forces and the people of the al-Bu ‘Irrin fields after an officer in the puppet forces threatened to rape the women of the area if they did not hand over youths in the area who were with the Resistance.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that the officer and his men stormed the al-Bu ‘Irrin fields northwest of al-Fallujah and threatened to rape the women of the area. The threat aroused the fury of the people of the area who attacked the puppet troops with light and medium weight arms, including BKC machine guns and other automatic weapons.

The fighting lasted about an hour and a half and when it grew intense, the puppet forces retreated. Then US troops entered the area and arrested those who had fought against the puppet troops.

The correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam reports that the puppet forces have used such cheap threats in numerous areas.

Resistance attacks to the west of al-Fallujah.

In a dispatch posted at 90pm Mecca time Wednesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces had taken losses in men and materiel when one of their command posts on the as-Saddah Road was subjected to a Resistance bombardment. The correspondent in the area reported that the Resistance fired three Grad rockets at the command post located between the al-Jawlan neighborhood and the al-Azraqiyah village area west of the city. Three US Bradley armored vehicles and four Humvees were destroyed and other losses were also inflicted on the US troops.

Minor fighting erupted for about 10 minutes between 8:15 and 8:25pm Wednesday in the al-Jawlan neighborhood. Resistance bombs exploded and then Resistance fighters opened fire with C5K rockets on US troops. An American spy plane was seen hovering in the sky over the area, and at that point fighting ceased.

Fighting rages for hours outside al-Fallujah’s south on Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 9:25pm Mecca time Wednesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fierce fighting raged for several hours between the Resistance and US Marines south of al-Fallujah, from 8am until 5:45pm Wednesday. The fighting was concentrated around the ash-Shuhada’ and al-Jubayl neighborhoods.

The fighting consisted of artillery exchanges and that the US forces were unable to advance, despite their receiving US air cover in the form of rocket attacks on Resistance positions. US helicopters were unable to take a great part in the attack, however since Resistance forces have been able to bring down a number of them.

In Wednesday’s fighting Resistance forces from outside al-Fallujah also took part, having entered the city at the start of the battle. They then left after the fighting was over, indicating that the American ring around the city had now become weak.

The US attack targeted the neighborhoods of ash-Shuhada’ and al-Jubayl after the US brought back units to the areas outside the southern and northern parts of the city, and also outside a small part of the eastern end of al-Fallujah, opposite the al-‘Askari neighborhood.

A group of Iraqi Resistance fighters destroyed one US Humvee that was carrying three US Marines in the as-Saddah area in the southwest of al-Fallujah. The three were killed in the attack and a Nissan pickup truck in which eight puppet “national guards” were riding was also destroyed and the eight puppet troops killed.

Resistance tightens its hold on al-Fallujah.

In a dispatch posted at 85pm Mecca time Wednesday night, the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Fallujah reported that Resistance fighters had since yesterday taken control of the road to al-Habbaniyah that extends west from the al-Fallujah bridge at the western end of the city. The correspondent wrote that US forces making the drive from the city to al-Habbaniyah are now subjected to Resistance bombardment, a fact that has compelled the Americans retreating from the city to take small branch routes and paths through farm fields in their effort to get the US military vehicles out of the city and back to their al-Habbaniyah base.

This has not proven entirely successful either, for the Americans, as the Resistance had planted mines and bombs along those paths. Resistance fighters destroyed four Abrams tanks, three Bradley armored vehicles, and three Humvees as US forces tried to evacuate them to the base. These are merely the numbers of vehicles destroyed that the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent was able to ascertain. Others might well have also been blown up.

At the present time, the correspondent wrote, there is no American presence in the west of al-Fallujah, nor in the southwest of al-Fallujah in the as-Saddah area.

US completes its flight from ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah.

At about 7am Wednesday, US forces completed their withdrawal from ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah, which they had begun at 10pm Tuesday night. Their pull out came after Resistance forces inflicted heavy losses on them and their British and Iraqi puppet stooges. ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah lies some 10km east of the city of al-Fallujah and was a staging area for Resistance attacks on the rear lines of US troops assaulting the city.

Mafkarat al-Islam’s correspondent in the city reported that US troops expected the Resistance in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah to stay within the city and allow the Americans to besiege and attack them. But the Resistance, learning a lesson from al-Fallujah’s experience took the battle of ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah to the outskirts of the town - some 10km further east, forcing the Americans to go through the town to the battle zone.

The correspondent reported that the US brought in 80 armored vehicles, nearly 70 Abrams tanks, and about 100 Humvees as well as 20 British tanks and 45 Nissan pickup trucks and 10 Kia trucks belonging to the puppet “national guard.” The US troops and their allies met no Resistance as they passed through ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah, but were surprised when extremely fierce fighting erupted in the east of the city to which they had brought about 50 tanks and armored vehicles and 50 Humvees. The Americans were compelled to call in air support in their battle which actually began as they began to withdraw from the town.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent noted that US forces pulled out in an unorganized manner, their vehicles frequently crossing one another’s path and colliding in some cases, making it more of a headlong flight than a retreat.

Iraqi Resistance Report for events of Thursday, 2 December 2004 and Friday, 3 December 2004

    Thursday, 2 December 2004.

    Al-Fallujah.

    Al-Fallujah on Thursday.

The situation in al-Fallujah improved for Iraqi Resistance forces on Thursday as they exerted control over more than 60 percent of the city while American troops continued their withdrawal.

Mafkarat al-Islam reported that in the southern half of the city, which represents 55 percent of al-Fallujah, Resistance control is still firmly entrenched and complete. The industrial zone, and the neighborhoods of ash-Shuhada’, al-Jubayl, and an-Nazal as well as the as-Saddah area make up the south of the city.

Meanwhile US forces withdrew from the al-‘Askari neighborhood in the northern half of al-Fallujah on Wednesday, moving into the neighborhoods of al-Jumhuriyah and old al-Fallujah instead. The reason for this move is that al-‘Askari was regarded as militarily defeated or neutralized since occupation forces encircle it on four sides, while any openings in al-Jumhuriyah or the old city of al-Fallujah allow the Resistance access to the al-Jawlan neighborhood in the north and to the west towards the neighborhoods of ash-Sxhurtah, the first and second ad-Dubbat neighborhoods, and al-Mu‘allimin, and to the south as far as the main street that divides the city in half.

Every day as night approaches, US troops pull back from the center of the city and into the al-Jaghifi and as-Sakani areas and parts of al-Jawlan. They leave behind only handfuls of puppet “national guard” troops to maintain their nominal presence in those areas by holding check points guarded by a few US tanks and armored vehicles in the ash-Shurtah and the two ad-Dubbat neighborhoods. After the departure of the US forces, Iraqi Resistance fighters begin their nightly activities, entering the areas to attack the puppet “national guards” and to prepare well-planned and complex traps for the Americans when they return in the morning. As a result, the Americans have come to limit their deployment there to the main roads in al-‘Askari, al-Mu‘allimin, ash-Shurtah, al-Jaghifi, and al-Wahdah, where the US troops have a presence during the day, but withdraw at night, leaving the puppet troops in their place to take the bullets from the major attacks by the Resistance at that time. Residents of the areas say that the sounds of battle go on all night long.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that there is no significant US military presence in al-Jumhuriya or the Old City which are regarded as centers of Resistance activity and where US forces are afraid to go, lest they be ambushed. The same is heard regarding the southern central and eastern areas of al-Jawlan, where the US forces have limited their presence and their fighting to the east and refuse to go into the central parts of the area out of fear of ambush.

One example of such an ambush was the Resistance bomb that exploded in the al-Jaghifi neighborhood, destroying a Humvee and killing five US Marines.

As a result, the Resistance is in actual control of 60 percent of the city, while it dominates the other areas where it carries out ambushes and lays traps the deter the US from maintaining any real presence. At most times, then, the city is effectively controlled by the Resistance, particularly after US troops disappear at nightfall. This reality has allowed the Resistance to greatly limit the presence of US snipers in the city, who now only operate during the day.

For their part, Iraqi Resistance forces withdrew from the main street in order to try to entice American troops onto it. Every American attempt to break through across the street has met with failure. One such being the attempt of US forces to enter by crossing the new bridge in the west. When US forces made their attempt, the Resistance sealed off the bridge, encircling the Americans.

It appears that the Resistance in al-Fallujah has martyrdom detachments, since the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent has been told of large-scale operations against US vehicles and patrols that forced the occupation forces to use only Humvees inside the city since they are able to flee with greater speed and ease than are the cumbersome armored vehicles.

Resistance captures puppet “national guards” who were robbing houses in al-Fallujah.

Iraqi Resistance forces inside al-Fallujah captured seven members of the puppet so-called “Iraqi national guard” who were robbing houses in the city.

The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the city reported that the puppet guards on Wednesday raided several houses in al-Fallujah and stole furniture and belongings from the people living there. At about 9pm Wednesday, Resistance fighters attacked the group of puppet guards and captured them in the area located between the public park and the al-Qassabin Market in the al-Jumhuriyah neighborhood. The Resistance destroyed the car they were using to haul the stolen furniture and property.

Unconventional warhead used in Resistance bombardment of US camp in ad-Dahhami estate near as-Saqlawiyah.

Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded US troops headquartered in the estate known as Qasr ad-Dahhami west of as-Saqlawiyah. One of the warheads fired at the Americans appears to have been unconventional, as it raised thick smoke or gas over the estate after it exploded.

Mafkarat al-Islam’s correspondent noted that a large US Chinook helicopter was observed making two trips to transport casualties out of the estate. The first trip was at about 4:15pm Thursday, and the second at about 5pm.

On an earlier occasion, Resistance forces had fired unconventional warheads at the ad-Dahhami estate. This took place at about 1pm on Saturday, 27 November 2004. That attack forced the US troops to evacuate their camp in the estate. They only went back in yesterday, Wednesday, 1 December.

US forces arrest relatives of religious leader after he denounced occupation.

US forces have launched a sweeping campaign of raids and searches in the Abu Ghurayb area west of Baghdad. One of the homes into which US forces burst belonged to relatives of Shaykh Harith ad-Darri, the Chairman of the Board of Muslim ‘Ulama’ [Scholars]. Al-Quds al-‘Arabi daily newspaper in London reported that 11 relatives of Shaykh ad-Darri were arrested without charge.

This is the second time the family has been subjected to this kind of treatment by the US forces and their stooges.

The move follows a statement Wednesday by Shakhy Harith ad-Darri in which he accused the US occupation and the political parties collaborating with it of assassinating Sunni religious scholars, noting that the collaborationist parties have become spies and agents for the US occupation.
