ANA plans fleet without Airbuses
All Nippon Airways is streamlining its fleet and plans an all-Boeing fleet by 2009. ANA will retire the Boeing 747-400 and replace them with Boeing 777s. All 28 Airbus A320s are being phased out in favor of the Boeing 737-700. All Airbus A321s and Boeing 767 are being replaced with Boeing 7E7s. ANA will also launch a low cost carrier in May or June of 2005. That airline will mainly operate Boeing 737s.
