Kuwaiti passenger jet makes emergency landing in Pakistan
A passenger jet of the Kuwait Airways, flight KAW381, Tuesday made an emergency landing at the Karachi airport of Pakistan due to bad weather and fog, said officials.
The Airbus A310, with 185 people on board, including crew members, bound for New Delhi (Indian capital) from Kuwait City was diverted to Karachi, the commercial port city of Pakistan, due to bad weather,said an official of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) while declining to divulge his name.
However, Pervez George, spokesman for the CAA, said the flight was diverted after one of its engines developed some technical fault, adding, it is waiting in Karachi for a new engine, he said.
He said no one was hurt, adding, the passengers have been transferred to hotels.
