Hai installato il driver fglrx?
Hai controllato cosa c'e' in /etc/X11/xorg.cong ed in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4?
In particolare in xorg.conf ci deve essere una sezione tipo:
Citazione:
Section "Device"
Identifier "ATI Graphics Adapter"
Driver "fglrx"
.....
ed inoltre
Citazione:
Section "Screen"
Identifier "Default Screen"
Device "ATI Graphics Adapter"
.....
Hai fatto in modo che i moduli agpgart ed fglrx siano caricati in automatico (per cominciare prova a farlo partire manualmente: #modprobe agpgart; modporbe fglrx)?
Fatto quanto sopra devi far ripartire X, se X non riparte non vedi i cambiamenti.
CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE
$startx
Oppure avvia una nuova sessione X
$startx -- :1
e testa se il driver e' attivato:
glxinfo|grep direct
