New services in the 2005 summer timetable
The 2005 summer timetable at Zurich Airport contains a variety of additional services. Various airlines have announced higher frequencies and will be serving new destinations in the period from 27 March to 29 October. The new timetable is already available and may be ordered from Zurich Airport.
The following airlines have announced additional scheduled or charter services for the period from 27 March to 29 October 2005:
* Swiss International Air Lines (LX) will be flying daily to Hong Kong, Boston, Montreal and Chicago. In addition it will now fly six times a week to Tokyo, and has added Tripoli (Fridays) and Benghazi (Tuesdays) to its flight plan.
* Air Canada (AC) will be providing a daily service to Toronto.
* Air Nostrum will be offering two flights a day from Zurich to Barcelona (code share with Iberia).
* British Airways (BA) has introduced six flights a week between Bristol and Zurich.
* Denim Airways (3D) will be linking Zurich with Augsburg three times a week.
* Helvetic Airways (2L) will be flying twice a week to Catania, once a week to Palermo, Brindisi and Lamezia Terme, as well as once a day to Naples. It will also be flying daily to Valencia, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca, Alicante and Barcelona, and six times a week to Madrid.
* Icelandair (FI) will be flying once a week to Reykjavik.
* Japan Airlines (JL) will operate flights to Tokyo 3 to 7 times a week (code share with Swiss from 2 June).
* Pulkovo Aviation (FV) will provide one to two services to St. Petersburg a week in the period from 1 May to 26 September.
* SATA International (S4) operates a weekly flight to Funchal/Ponta Delgada (service commenced on 5 February).
* Sun Express (XQ) will increase the frequency of its flights to Antalya from two to three times a week.
* Thai Airways (TG) will be using the new Airbus 340-600 on some of its flights, commencing 16 June.
