    Ciao Simo!

    Sono aeroporti che non conosco, ma cercando nel web qualcosa si trova.

    Un link sempre valido, dal quale ti copio di seguito un po' di informazioni, è spottersuinited.

    Clicchi "spottersguide", poi "Europe", e trovi la lista, ordinata per paese europeo in ordine alfabetico, con un sacco di informazioni spotteristiche sulla maggior parte degli aeroporti europei.

    Ecco quello che ho trovato:

    Su VIENNA-SCHEWCHAT:

    The terminal has a small restaurant where some views on the apron can be obtained. There is coloured glass here.

    At the opposite side of the terminal, only reachable by car, is a road running parrallel to the runway. Till about 15:00 the sun is in the back and very good photos can be made here.

    ->A report by Jan Broe

    There are not many places in the terminal from where any large amount of movements can be seen. In terminal 1 there is a cafe overlooking the apron between the two piers (a total of 6-7 gates and depending on runways in use you will loose the majority of movements if you're at this position!) To get here, take the stairs up to the restaurant area from the Departure level of Terminal 1.

    As there are only some 18 gates at the airport, most of the traffic is parked at remote stands east of the terminal, and in fact the traffic parked here is probably the most interesting for foreigners, as this includes all the commuters of Lauda, Tyrolean and Rheintalflug among many others. You can get a good look at this apron if you leave the terminal and walk east along the terminal road for some 200 meters. The road turns 90 degrees to the left, and the apron is just ahead of you. An elevated viewpoint could be one of the two parking garages, which would enable you to overlook the entire apron (I didn't check them out!)

    To overlook the terminal gates, you would need to go around to the south side of the apron by some rural roads, but traffic parking on these gates can be seen when arriving or departing from the above mentioned positions.

    The airport has two airport hotels, a Novotel and a Sofitel. The Novotel appears to be worthless in terms of viewing, as it's a low building and views appears to be obscured by other higher structures (including the Sofitel). I was booked in the Sofitel, and from room 5014 I had a south-facing view of runway 11/29 as well as a few of the terminal gates. Just outside my room, in the hallway, there was an east-facing window, from where the entire remote apron and runway 16/34 could be seen. If you decide to stay there, I would probably recommend asking for room 5016, as this is "around the corner" of the building, facing east. Then you won't have to run out into the hallway all the time! But if you book a night there, bring a big wallet. The room price for a single room (excl. breakfast) is 1900 Austrian Schillings. Breakfast puts you back another 240 Schillings (that's something like 9 British Pounds!!!).

    ->A report by Simon Brooke

    No terrace. Top floor of "Terminal Car Park" gives views of freight ramp and a small corner of the biz ramp. Top floor of Car Park 4 (I think - it's the tallest one and very obvious) gives excellent views of the 30 odd remote stands and of both runways. Remotes used by commuters (Tyrolean, Lauda CRJs and some B737/B767, Rheintalflug, KLM Alps, SABENA 146, Maersk CRJ, etc etc); most large airliners parkon terminal stands but can be seen arriving and departing. Biz virtually invisible from terminal area unless moving. I believe there is a road on "the far side" of the airfield giving views back on biz ramp and terminal but we were too tired to bother looking for it. Some police presence in car parks but not interested in spotters.

    Su Vienna trovi anche informazioni preziose nel sito di Peter Unmuth del gruppo VAP - Vienna Aviation Photography. Clicca "Vienna Information". Qui hai una carta con i migliori spotting-point.

    Su OSLO-GARDERMOEN:

    Good views from ends of terminal (airside), that from domestic end overlooking GA area. Most traffic landing on W runway (domestic side of terminal) and taking off from E runway (international end). Quite good views from departure level roadway - standing at the domestic end able to read off most traffic departing from the further runway.

    At the northern perimeters road photos can be made. But police will send you away from here because of military installations here.

    Guarda anche questo sito, in cui hai una bella guida in formato .pdf sull'aeroporto norvegese.

    Su STOCCOLMA-ARLANDA:

    Here are two runways, 01/19 and 08/26. Photography is very good at approach of 26 between 10-16 o'clock. Approach of 01 is okay for photos from 15:00. You will need transportation for these spots however.

    Direction towards runway 26:

    To get here by Taxi, the cost will be around 113 swedish crowns and it will take ten minutes drive.

    To get here by foot, it will take a walk of 45 minutes

    From the terminal building, take route 273 direction Almunge/Nortalge. After passing SAS Cargo and LH Catering there is a road on the left heading towards Langhundra. Take this road till you see the approachlights of runway 26. This is on a small road direction Tilldal

    Places to stay
    Check this site out: http://www.stockholm.com/lodging.html Arlanda Airport is located in what they call the northern side. There are also many hotels of variying price and quality. Qui hai altre informaizioni sullo spotting ad Arlanda.

    Buon spotting!

    Aspetto il trip, mi raccomando!

    Gardermoen è l'aeroporto più bello e luminoso del mondo, dello spotting colà non so nulla ma posso dirti che il salmone del bar accanto al gate del mio volo Lauda Air era una cosa da rotolarsi per terra. Yummmm!

    ho la sensazione che dopo i fatti di ieri la vita per gli spotters si farà ancora più dura, almeno in Italia!
