Traffico in crescita del 6,9% all'aeroporto di Monaco di Baviera

Nel primo semestre 2005 è cresciuto il traffico dell’aeroporto di Monaco di Baviera: i passeggeri sono stati 13,5 milioni, corrispondenti ad un incremento del 6,9% rispetto allo stesso periodo dell’anno scorso.



ATH (a giugno circa 1,4 mil pax+11%) ; previsti circa 15 mil pax nel 2005

Athens International Airport (AIA), which the Greek government wants to privatize, said on Wednesday its first-half traffic rose 7.5 percent to 6.6 million passengers.

AIA said international passenger traffic rose 12 percent during the period, with steady growth by low-cost carriers which saw a 19 percent increase in passengers.

The Middle East and eastern and central Europe remained the two fastest-growing regions, registering growth of 22 and 21 percent respectively.

AIA said average load factors on international flights in June rose to 78 percent of capacity from 65 percent last year.

- Frankfurt
- Rome

Greece, which owns 55 percent of AIA, intends to take the airport operator public next year, listing it on the Athens stock exchange as part of its state divestments plan to pay down public debt.

Vienna International Airport handled 7,270,874 passengers during the first six months of 2005, which represents an increase of 7.3%. This growth was supported by good development in the low-cost segment, which now generates nearly 13% of total volume, as well as a 41.3% rise in travel to the Near East and Middle East and a plus of 10% in traffic to Eastern Europe.

Zurich Airport Traffic Figures - June 2005
During June 2005 1'555’461 passengers were handled at Zurich Airport, an increase of 4.5% versus June 2004. The YTD passenger growth is at 4.3 %.

Transfer passengers are up by 14.1% to 463’744 in June, further supporting the recovery of the transfer market at ZRH (YTD +10.6%). The transfer rate which was at 28% for the full year 2004 and saw a seasonal record low of 24.4% in July 2004, is at 29.9% in June and coincidentally also at 29.9% YTD.

O/D or local passengers (originating or departing from Zurich) have increased by 0.9% to 1’080’778 versus previous May (YTD +1.9%).

The YTD low cost market share is at 8.0%, below last years figure of 8.7%.

Air Traffic Movements (atm’s) increased by 2.0% to 23’674 in June versus previous year (YTD +2.4%).

Breakdown of departing passengers

The number of locally departing passengers increased by 54,999 passengers (+8.4%). The number of transfer/transit passengers decreased by 32,058 passengers (-9.2%).
International passengers

The number of scheduled international passengers increased by 23,946 passengers (+1.5%), whereas the number of international charter passengers increased by 18,138 (+10.9%). Consequently, the total number of international passengers increased by 41,954 passengers (+2.4%).
Domestic passengers

The total number of domestic passengers decreased by 1,201 passengers (-0.8%) compared with June 2004.
Operations and take-off weight

In June 2005, the total number of take-offs and landings decreased by 89 operations (-0.4%), whereas the tonnage increased by 4,052 tonnes (+0.6%) compared with June 2004.
