Boeing 787 lands $2.4B deal: Report
Newspaper says leasing unit of AIG bought 20 of the new aircraft at a substantial discount.
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Aircraft leasing giant International Lease Finance Corp. has quietly ordered 20 Boeing 787 "Dreamliner" jets valued at $2.4 billion, the first major leasing company to sign up for Boeing Co.'s newest jetliner, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday.
ILFC, a unit of American International Group Inc. (Research), completed the deal late last week but requested that Boeing (Research) post the orders on its Web site as "unidentified" until later, the paper said, citing people familiar with the situation.
John Plueger, president and chief operating officer of the Los Angeles-based leasing company, would not comment. Boeing spokesman Tom Downey said the company was deferring to its customer's wishes and declined to comment, the paper said.
E se una parte di questi 20 fosse per AZ?
