Il Guti della Persia occidentale è descritto in testi fin da 2000A.C. biondi almeno quanto la luce (namrutim). Gli Amorriti era probabilmente di questa razza; i monumenti egiziani li mostrano come biondi, alti, dolicocefali e con i nasi aquilini prominenti; seppellivano i loro morti nei dolmens di cui ce ne sono oltre 700 nel paese di Moab." The great Nordic Indo-European invasions of the Middle East took place in fits and starts. Some of the more famous were: the Indo-Aryans (1) to present day India; the Aryans (2) to Afghanistan; the Hittites (3) to the Near East;

the Sumerians and Gutians (4) to Mesopotamia;


and the Galatians (5) to present day Turkey. Many names of countries in this region - India, Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan are all directly or indirectly derived from the word "Aryan."

Mi spiace smentirvi, ma i Guti, anzi, i Gutei, non erano affatto indoeuropei e tantomeno lo erano gli Amorrei, o Amorriti, che erano semiti, in particolare erano la base etnica di Assiri e Babilonesi e in un certo senso anche di Cananei, Aramei e degli stessi Ebrei.
I Gutei erano popoli tribali delle montagne della Persia, ma ben prima che questa fosse indoeuropeizzata dalle tribù iraniche provenienti da nord e per la verità hanno dato un apporto ben poco rilevante alla civiltà mesopotamica, dalla quale semmai hanno assorbito. La civiltà mesopotamica sostanzialmente è la civiltà sumerica (quindi non semita, ma tantomeno indoeuropea) su cui si sono innestate le tribù nomadi o seminomadi semitiche degli accadici prima e poi degli amorrei (babilonesi).

1-Negro-Dravidians, also called Ubaidians or Proto-Euphrateans, were the earliest inhabitants. Remnants of this people survived for long in Elam.
Sumerians, members of the round-headed Turanoid race, succeeded the Ubaidians. Their origin was generally sought in the Altaic regions: "Even King, in his History of Sumer and Akkad, looked, as we have seen, toward Turkestan for the beginnings of Sumerian culture." (Luckenbill 1923, p.7) Regarding the close, yet not conclusive, relation between Sumerian and Ugric, Coon notes:
"The supposed kinship between Sumerian and Finno-Ugrian cannot easily be evaluated, owing largely to the gap of over three millennia between the known forms of each. Both groups are agglutinative, but the grammatical structure of Sumerian also has verbal prefixes, often with personal tone, unknown in modern Finnic or Ugric." (Coon 1939, Ch.VI, sect.1: Race, Languages, and European Peoples)


2-Barbaric Akkadian Semites, related to the Sabaeans, overthrew the Sumerians.


3-The Gutians in turn overthrew the Semitic Akkadian tyranny, inaugurating the Neo-Sumerian renaissance which continued long into the subsequent Ur III dynasty.
