Predefinito 8 March is Women Day

In my country, as in others, Eight March is women's day.
All my best wishes greetings to all women, and all the women on POL.
A woman's smile makes spring of a winter day, and nothing more than the gentle soul of women contributes to enlighten and enliven this too male-oriented humanity.
When there was parity between man and woman, as in ancient Crete, civilization was omly a cultured, gentle thing, the environment was respected, there was mo war, no exploitment, and religion did not include jihads, crusades, holy wars, killings and discriminations. Those began with the predominance of men over women.
When men and women will have equal opportunities, equal treatments, when women will no more be discriminated and oppressed in the name of men dominated and created religions, there will be peace in the world. The woman is the best part of man.
Good Woman's day to all the women on POL, and, men, celebrate also the woman that is in you!

OK, today is Women's Day (but I prefer to feast'em every day, and not in one only day in the year...), but you're quite exagerating.

1 It isn't true the women never make wars. I can remember to you Margaret Thatcher, who made war against Argentina, among the recent examples.
But the popular tradition are full of women warriors (the Amazones for Greece, for example), and in Slavonic tradition is more present that.

2 In Crete they were well respected... but like whores... I prefer a woman to a whore... I don't know you, but I'm so...

3 The respect for a woman isn't measured by vote, or other things... today the average woman, if she wants to have success, must "concede herself" (I used euphemism) to others.
In Roman society, instead, they couldn't vote, but their opinion was very important, and a lot of stories say to us it. Master examples are the mother of Coriolanus and Cornelia (the daughter of P. Cornelius Scipio); I think you know these stories, so reflect on'em...

4 they didn't make jihads and religious wars only becuse these things were made only by monotheistic religions (Ebraism, Christianity and Islamism), and they were very misogynous.

The story isn't a borious school thing...

In crete there was parity between men and women, and they governet togheter, There weren't any whores.
Read "The Chalice and The Blade" of Riane Eisler, it explains everything I'm saying. You know very little of Crete, it seems, if you say such a thing.
Margaret Thatcher made war because Argentinian generals (all males) invaded the Falklands. She didn't wage war. She reacted after a military aggression.

1 the whores ever were, and in Crete there are more than in other places. Like I said before, the measure to understand the respect of women isn't the possibility to be commanders or not, but the daily behaviour on them.

2 She provoked the war. These lands are Argentinians, the generals wanted their lands; while the English empire gave back almost of her Empire dominions, instead, with the Malvinas (the true name!) she behavioured like a child and she didn't give the islands to Argentina.

    However:

You think a woman is respected if she can make everything, no importance if she can make the thing only making the whore (I repeat: I'm talking of the average woman: the hyperdotated woman can be famous even in the worst misogynous government).

I think a woman is respected if a man respects the women; if proctects them, if he consideres the women like a valid support.

"You think a woman is respected if she can make everything, no importance if she can make the thing only making the whore"

I think nothing of the sort. Read the book I cited.

"I think a woman is respected if a man respects the women; if proctects them, if he consideres the women like a valid support"

Respect ok, but what if woman feels no need to be "protected"? What if she want to exist independently, and ont only as man's "support"?

It is indisputable, moreover, that the argentinian Generals attacked the Falklands/Malvinas, something they had no right to do, dispute about the islands notwhitstanding. If You and I were contending about the property of an object, do you think one of us would be justified if he took the object by violence from the other? Plus, there's the will of the island's inhabitants to consider, and all wanted to remain english.

What island do you cite? England?

A part the discussion on Malvinas, let's continue with main object!

Your woman "indipendent", very often, is abused, raped, and abduct to become whore. Enough to see their role in T.V. to understand it.

What country are you? Where do you live? We don't seem to understand each other, or you're saying very foolish and insulting things.

    1 I'm Italian

2 You're foolish, because you don't understand we think very diversely on "respect of women": you think Victoria Silvstedt, Carmen Electra and other women who get naked to become famous are "indipendent" women, "respectful" women, I not. I explained before the difference among me and you:

You think a woman is respected if she can make everything, no importance if she can make the thing only making the whore (I repeat: I'm talking of the average woman: the hyperdotated woman can be famous even in the worst misogynous government).

I think a woman is respected if a man respects the women; if proctects them, if he consideres the women like a valid support.
3 yes, I used the term "whore"; but, if it's fastidious to you, I can use the term "slut"

Why do you believe I didn't say to you books? Because I know you CAN'T understand. I can read your book and make some laughs, but you can't understand...

However, I would conseil to you some feminist authors (I'm optimistic, I think you can understand at least them!): Andrea Dworkin (the most important), Adrienne Rich, Grace Paley, Robin Morgan and the other women of the group "Women against pornography". They explain what I would say to you, in a politically correct language, so EVEN YOU can understand...
