E' stato inaugurato il sito web www.goindigo.in e le relative prenotazioni di Indigo la nuova mega low cost indiana che ha ordinato ben 100 A320 di cui il primo è già stato consegnato. I voli dovrebbero partire in autunno.

Ho notato che punteranno fin da subito su molti aspetti innovativi e di servizio alla clientela molti sconosciuti alle low cost europee:
1)Possibiltà di prenotare oltre che dal sito e via call center anche tramite telefoni cellulari GPRS o PDA
2)Introduzione fin da subito del check-in online
3)IndiGo provides water free of charge to all passengers on all its flights. Other beverages and food may be offered for sale.
4) Will I be contacted in advance if my flight is delayed?
If you have provided us your SMS-capable mobile phone number when booking, then IndiGo will notify you in advance through Short Messaging Service (SMS) on your mobile phone.
5) What is IndiGo’s policy if a flight is cancelled?
If an IndiGo flight is cancelled or delayed for more than three hours, passengers have the right to choose any one of the following options:
1. A refund of the ticket price.
2. A credit of the ticket price for future travel on IndiGo.
3. Re-booking onto an alternative IndiGo flight at no additional cost subject to availability.
6) What if I would like to have a seat with extra leg room?
A limited number of seats with extra leg-room are available for an additional fee of Rs. 100 per Sector.
7)Once purchased, our fares are not refundable; but if your travel plans change, you will receive credit for future travel.
8) In case of rebooking if the difference in fare, less applicable fees, results in a credit to you, then you shall receive a credit for travel on IndiGo that will remain valid for twelve (12) months from the date of issue.
Il network iniziale sarà costituito da 12 città e i voli unicamente, almeno per ora, da tratte interne in India, guardando il motore di ricerca pare che la base principale sarà a Delhi con 7 destinazioni servite seguita da Mumbai con 4.
Infine una curiosità:
Due to airport security regulations, no Cabin Baggage is allowed on any flights from Jammu and Srinagar airports.
Qualcuno che conosce questi aeroporti ha idea del perchè ci siano queste limitazioni?
