NEW DELHI: Devesh Kumar Swain, hailing from Orissa, has died in Israeli bombardment on Lebanon, official sources said on Friday.
Swain had gone missing along with three persons when a glass factory they were working in was hit by Israeli bombing three days ago, sources revealed.
The three others were later found injured in a hospital. One of them Kalpanath Singh Yadav, who had received minor injuries, was evacuated on Thursday. SK Virdi from Bangalore and Dilip Kumar Manna from West Bengal, who were present with Swain, continue to remain in the hospital. They are likely to be discharged in about three days, sources added.
The four were workers of Maliban glass factory, based in Beca. The factory has been shut down temporarily a week ago in view of the war-like situation. The workers were in the process of being evacuated when the incident took place.
