Korean Air announces new service to Guangzhou

SEOUL - Korean Air on Tuesday announced a new regular passenger service between South Korea's main international airport at Incheon and China's southern economic hub city of Guangzhou.
Korean Air said a Boeing 737-800 seating 148 passengers would leave Incheon every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 9.20am, arriving in Guangzhou at midday local time

The flag carrier said a Boeing 737-800 seating 148 passengers would leave Incheon every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 9.20am, arriving in Guangzhou at midday local time. Return flights from Guangzhou will leave at 1.00pm and arrive at Incheon at 5.25 pm local time.

Korean Air said in a statement that Guangzhou is its first scheduled destination in southern China, a key centre in the nation's economic boom.

The new service follows an agreement between Seoul and Beijing in June to greatly increase the number of flights between the two countries. -- AFP
