Bella canzone con brutto testo

Parlo di "Song for Ireland" dei Corrs (la sto ascoltando in questo momento, perciò mi è venuto in mente). La canzone è stupenda, ma ecco il testo:

Io lo trovo banale, raffazzonato, con figure poetiche malriuscite e rime forzate, si poteva fare di molto meglio. Cosa ne pensate?

Rievocata dal testo più che dal titolo ho capito d'avere sta canzone ma eseguita da tali Celtic Spirit..avevo subito intuito fosse un testo non proprio positivo nei confronti dell'Irlanda, vista alla stregua di una bella prigione..tipo "ho chiesto di più" delle amene immagini descritte nel testo. Per questo la canzone non mi sta simpatica anche se riconosco il richiamo della sua melodia.
Ma poi non ho capito a un certo punto dice "sognando nella notte ho visto una terra dove nessun uomo ha avuto da combattere"
