Si sposò con una compagna ebrea brutta come il peccato e ebbe da lei un figlio scemo. Poi,

Palmiro Togliatti e i prigionieri italiani di guerra in Russia

Il 1956 fu un anno chiave per le vicende dell'Unione Sovietica: ebbe luogo infatti il primo timido tentativo di revisionismo di tutta la sua storia. Tra il 14 e il 25 febbraio di quell'anno si celebrò infatti il XX Congresso del Partito Comunista dell'Unione Sovietica, nel corso del quale il Segretario generale Nikita Krusciov denunciava per la prima volta i crimini di Stalin e accettava l'idea della coesistenza pacifica tra i due blocchi, pur continuando le imponenti operazioni di armamento, in continua competizione con gli Stati Uniti. Tra i delitti da imputare a Stalin figura anche quello relativo all'atroce sorte destinata ai prigionieri di guerra, specie agli italiani, che per essere i soldati di un esercito di uno stato fascista furono eliminati con sistematica puntualità.

Noi sappiamo - ormai con certezza, da quando sono accessibili gli archivi russi - che i maggiori esponenti dei partiti comunisti dei paesi europei erano al corrente, e spesso approvavano, la linea politica voluta da Stalin, che non faceva mistero della repressione fisica dei prigionieri di guerra. Tra i protagonisti di questa grave condotta c'è anche Palmiro Togliatti, che non solo fu responsabile di non aver "mosso un dito" in difesa dei nostri concittadini, ma anche di aver "concordato" la loro morte con lo stesso Stalin. Non è strano: chi fosse tornato dai gulag infatti avrebbe raccontato una realtà non molto diversa da quella dei lager nazisti. Una pubblicità di cui il PCI avrebbe fatto volentieri a meno.

Per non essere accusati di parzialità lasciamo la parola a chi ne sa più di noi. Nella monumentale Historia de España, volume 13, tomo 2, Luis de Llera in uno spagnolo più che comprensibile sostiene:

«Por ejemplo, a finales de 1991, los italianos quedaron literalmente estupefactos cuando conocieron por sus periódicos que el carismático Palmiro Togliatti, jefe indiscutido durante años del PCI, no sólo no había intercedido por los prisioneros italianos de guerra sino que había acordado con Stalin su muerte en campos de concentración.

La amante de Togliatti, Nilde Iotti ocupaba en tan crítico momento - éste de 1992 - el cargo de presidente del parlamento italiano. Resulta difícil pensar que tan inteligente mujer y compañera inseparable no hubiera estado al tanto de relaciones y hechos tan importantes y comprometidos, que se comprenden perfectamente en la lógica de la guerra y también de la posguerra, en cuanto eliminación del fascista por el fascista, aunque se tratase de pobres soldados de leva, culpables solamente de haber tenido la edad requerida para ser enviados al frente».


Niente di nuovo, sono infatti verità che conosciamo ormai da oltre dieci anni, furono rese note già alla fine del 1991, ma è sorprendente quanto poco se ne sia parlato e con quanta abilità nei talk SHOW televisivi e sui giornali certi argomenti vengano chirurgicamente rimossi. Anche le ultime commemorazioni di Togliatti non mi pare abbiano fatto cenno a questa macchia… Ci pensiamo noi oggi, nella speranza che molti ci leggano!
