Scozia, il governo di Alex Salmond porta i favorevoli all’indipendenza al 66,7%!

Il 16 marzo scorso il Sunday Times ha pubblicato un sondaggio che dimostra la crescente popolaritŕ del governo scozzese di Holyrood guidato dal Partito Nazionale Scozzese (SNP, Scottish National Party) ad Edimburgo. Ecco alcuni dati salienti:

• il vantaggio dell’SNP sui laburisti č cresciuto dell’8% sulle proiezioni di voto circoscrizionale e addirittura del 10% sul voto di lista regionale;
• l’SNP č dato ora a 57 seggi, 13 piů dei laburisti
• il rating di Alex Salmond (leader indipendentista scozzese al governo) č ora a un +53 %, mentre quello del suo rivale laburista Wendy Alexander č crollato a un -22 %
• tra gli elettori laburisti il 66% ritiene che Alex Salmond stia facendo un ottimo lavoro, mentre solo il 39% ritiene che il proprio leader naturale Wendy Alexander stia facendo bene
• gli scozzesi che si fidano di Salmond nella conduzione degli affari scozzesi sono il triplo rispetto a quelli che si fidano di Wendy Alexander
• 2 scozzesi su 3 (il 66,7%!) si dichiarano favorevoli a votare per l’indipendenza a condizioni certe.

“Dal sondaggio non emergono buone notizie per Wendy” ha affermato Ivor Knox, responsabile dell’istituto di sondaggi MRUK Cello. “Per la tutela dei propri interessi sui temi chiave dell’economia, istruzione, sanitŕ, legalitŕ e sicurezza sono molti di piů gli scozzesi che si fidano di Alex Salmond piuttosto che di Wendy Alexander”.
Ecco i risultati del sondaggio:
1) Voto circoscrizionale per il parlamento scozzese:

• SNP: 39% (+6)
• Lab: 31% (-1)
• Con: 15% (-2)
• Lib: 12% (-4)
• altri: 3% (+1)

2) Voto regionale per il parlamento scozzese:

• SNP: 40% (+9)
• Lab: 30% (+1)
• Con: 13% (-1)
• Lib: 11% (-)
• altri: 5% (-10)

3) Proiezione dei seggi:

• SNP: 57
• Lab: 44
• Con: 16
• Lib: 12

4) Giudizio sull’operato di Alex Salmond doing come leader del Governo Scozzese

• Bene: 70%
• Male: 17%
• Non sa: 13%
• rating positivo: +53

5) Giudizio sull’operato di Alex Salmond doing come leader del Partito Laburista Scozzese

• Bene: 30%
• Male: 52%
• Non sa: 18%
• rating negativo: -22.

La MRUK Cello ha intervistato 1,028 adulti in tutta la Scozia tra il 29 febbraio e il 9 di marzo 2008.

Grande Alex. Il buon governo indipendentista paga e passo dopo passo sta costruendo con i fatti quella maggioranza sociale che potrebbe portare la Scozia all'indipendenza. L’obbiettivo di Salmond e dello Scottish National Party alla vigilia delle ultime elezioni poi vinte era proprio quello di dimostrare di saper governare realmente in favore degli scozzesi in questi anni che dovrebbero costituire la vigilia del referendum per avere piů poteri e/o l'indipendenza. Con quelle proiezioni, si andrebbe ad una maggioranza assoluta e quindi senza problemi si potrebbe indire il referendum tanto atteso; anche se - nonostante una maggioranza ora solo relativa - la speranza che possa arrivare prima non muore mai. Nel frattempo avanti cosě con il buon governo dello SNP e con la bussola chiaramente orientata verso l'indipendenza. E se tra non molto dovessi lasciare questo porcile, anche grazie a quello che č avvenuto e sta avvenendo negli ultimi anni la terra di Braveheart sarebbe tra quelle in cima alle mie preferenze. Un esempio per tutti.

First Minister Alex Salmond is due to launch the next phase of his "National Conversation" on the constitution.
An event in Edinburgh will see the SNP administration seek to engage with a range of public bodies in order to seek opinions on Scotland's future.
This event comes the day after Prime Minister Gordon Brown announced that former chief medical officer Sir Kenneth Calman is to lead a separate commission which will review the powers of the Scottish Parliament 10 years on from the start of devolution.

La piu' grande cazzata l'ha fatta la Lega ad andare col centrodestra, se ne stava per conto suo e ora avrebbe percentuali (e base sociale) oltre il 50% nel nord italia.

Two out of three Scots want a referendum on Scottish Independence by 2011, according to a new poll. The YouGov poll for the The Times also puts SNP support at Holyrood on 40 per cent of the constituency vote and 33 per cent of the regional vote against Labour's 32 per cent and 30 per cent. On those figures, the SNP would increase its seats by two and Labour would lose two seats. SNP depute leader, Nicola Sturgeon MSP said:

“We are delighted with these poll figures. The strong SNP lead – which has increased since the election – shows that the honeymoon continues nearly a year into government, on the back of solid policy delivery. The poll shows the SNP winning more votes and more seats since last May.

“The poll also shows that support for independence is on the increase, and is being boosted by the SNP’s record in office. And there is overwhelming support for a referendum in the lifetime of this parliament, which is an enormous boost for the SNP’s policy. The other parties are appealing to barely a fifth of the people, and are deeply split on the issue – they will find it impossible to justify refusing to support the right of the people to decide Scotland’s future in a democratic referendum.

“And for a Westminster election, the SNP are within touching distance of Labour for the first time in a generation – with the ability to win a barrow load of seats in what could be a tight parliamentary situation. The SNP could well hold the balance of power at Westminster after the General Election, which would mean that the areas where the UK government is currently saying No to Scotland would quickly change to Yes.”
