These are the six Baltimore police officers who were involved in Freddie Gray's arrest - and could ultimately spend decades in prison for charges as serious as murder.
Caesar Goodson, Garrett E. Miller, William G. Porter, Edward M. Nero, Brian W. Rice and Alicia D. White were all taken into custody after charges were filed in connection with the 25-year-old's arrest on April 12.
According to a state prosecutor, the officers were complicit in, or actively caused his death as his spine was broken while he was driven through the streets of Baltimore following what has been described as an entirely unlawful arrest.
Gray died on April 19, a week after the incident.

Charged: Caesar Goodson (left) and Garrett E. Miller (right) were among the officers arrested on Friday

Arrested: William G. Porter (left) and Edward M. Nero (right) were also taken into custody

Accused: Brian W. Rice and Alicia D. White are also facing charges stemming from Freddie Gray's fatal arrest

Goodson, 45, was charged with his murder Friday. Rice, Porter and White were charged with manslaughter, while Miller and Nero's most serious charges were assault.
All the officers face as long as 10 years in prison if found guilty, while Goodson's murder charge could make him eligible for 30 years.
Their booking photos were released Friday night. According to CNN, all six have posted bail and were released.
The news network said that Goodson, White, Porter and Rice paid $350,000 bail, while the figure for Nero and Miller was $250,000.

Journey: Freddie Gray died a week after his arrest on April 12 . He suffered a 'catastrophic' injury and died a week later in hospital. Caesar Goodson was at the wheel of the van in which he was put after the arrest

Activists and protesters rejoiced in Baltimore after charges were filed by State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby today - but the city's police union savaged her decision to press with criminal charges so soon.
Michael Davey, a lawyer for the city's Fraternal Order of Police, said the charges represent 'an egregious rush to judgement'.
Davey said: 'We believe that these officers will be vindicated as they have done nothing wrong.
'I have never seen such a hurried rush to file criminal charges'.

Political?: The family of Caesar Goodson, the officer facing the most serious charges - second-degree murder - say the decision by Marilyn Mosby, Baltimore State's Attorney, is entirely a political move

Also charged: This is Officer Edward Nero, 29, who is charged with assault, which carries up to 10 years in jail. He is pictured with his wife, Amy.

Also charged: Officer William Porter. He is charged with involuntary manslaughter, second degree assault and misconduct in office and could be jailed for ten years if found guilty.

Announcing the charges today, Mosby described how officers cuffed Gray's hands behind his back and shackled his legs but did not secure him with a seatbelt while the van was moving - a violation of police department policy.
She said that after he hurt himself they continued, with 'depraved indifference', to ignore Gray's repeated pleas for medical attention.
She said the officers failed to adequately check on him, despite stopping the van and opening the back door multiple times as he wailed in pain for medical help.
She made the decision to bring charges despite a plea from the Fraternal Order of Police local president Gene Ryan, who wrote to Mosby insisting none of the officers were culpable.

'All death is tragic. And death associated with interaction with police is both shocking and frightening to the public,' Ryan wrote.
'As tragic as this situation is, none of the officers involved are responsible for the death of Mr Gray. To the contrary, at all times, each of the officers diligently balanced the obligations to protect Mr Gray and discharged their duties to protect the public.'
He added that he felt Mosby could not take the case as she has close ties with William Murphy, the Gray family's lawyer.
Caesar Goodson, 45, is twice-married and lives with his second wife, Paula, in Catonsville, Maryland. He is the grandson of a police officer and his nephew Antoine is a promising football player playing wide receiver for the Northwestern Oklahama State University Rangers.
Brian Rice is the longest-serving of the group, having spent eight years with Baltimore Police Department. Goodson joined two years later in 1999. Alicia White has been with the force since 2010.
Porter, Miller and Nero all joined the force in 2012.

BALTIMORE ERUPTS IN CELEBRATION AT THE NEWS SIX OFFICERS WILL STAND TRIAL... BUT WILL IT BE ENOUGH TO STOP RIOTS ON THE STREETS?

Protesters in Baltimore took to the streets to celebrate the news that the six officers involved in the arrest of Gray would stand trial.
Kevin Moore, 30, who filmed the arrest was seen weeping as he found out they will be charged with illegally detaining and killing his 25-year-old friend.

Moore, was himself arrested on Thursday, and claims he has been subjected to police harassment since handing over the footage.
'I'm exuberant. I'm happy. I'm every positive word you can think of. I finally made a difference in the world,' he told the Baltimore Sun.

As State's Attorney Michelle Mosby announced charges against the cops, Moore was overcome with emotion

Mosby's press conference concluded to cheers and applause from the crowds who gathered to watch

Protests are set for major cities across the country, although on Friday Chicago protesters demanded an end to police brutality as they carried signs reading Police Brutality Must Stop.
Baltimore protester Kwame Rose told CNN rallies planned for Saturday will continue.
'The rally is going on tomorrow and will continue to go on despite the announcement of charges, because there is still military presence in Baltimore city streets tonight, there will still be military presence in Baltimore streets tomorrow, and there will still be military presence when the media leaves,' he said.
CNN reports that one of the four rallies planned in Baltimore on Friday will be attended by Sybrina Fulton, the mother of Traon Martin, who has become an advocate for those who have lost family members as the result of violent crimes, creating the Tra
on Martin Foundation in her son's memory.
Most protests have been peaceful across the country all week, even in Baltimore, following rioting on Monday and Tuesday.
The curfew put in place earlier this week has been extended through the weekend in that city.
There was however a brief clash between police and protesters in Philadelphia on Thursday as they attempted to block access to Route 95, a major highway.

In an astonishing display of unity, rival gangs Crips and Bloods tied their bandannas together in celebration

As people cheering and hugged, Twitter users praised Michelle Mosby for her decision to indict the officers

But this man shouted, 'Manslughter not enough, should have been murder' while riot police patrol behind him
