One man died and seven others were injured in a stabbing that took place outside of a nightclub in Cornwall, UK early Sunday morning.

Emergency response teams rushed to Eclipse Nightclub in Bodmin shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday after receiving reports about a “serious altercation” in the area, officials said in a statement.

A man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene, while seven other men and women were injured, police said.

The seven who were injured were sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.

Following the vicious, early-morning rampage, an unidentified 24-year-old man from the town of Bodmin was arrested on suspicion of murder, attempted murder and causing grievous bodily harm with intent, cops said.

Hackney stabbing prompts murder inquiry

A murder investigation has been opened following the death of a man in Hackney.

The victim, in his late 20s, was found with stab wounds at a residential property on Mare Street around 23:00 BST on Friday.

Despite treatment from the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Met Police officers are working to trace his next of kin.

Two men, one in his 40s and the other in his 50s, and one woman in her 50s, have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident.

They were taken to East London police stations where they remain for questioning, the Met said.

Dagenham stabbing: Jordan Kukabu named as victim

A teenager who died after a stabbing in east London has been named by police.

Wazabakana Elenda Jordan Kukabu, 18, known as Jordan, was found injured near Dagenham Heathway Tube station at about 23:45 BST on Friday.

The 18-year-old from Romford died at the scene. A post-mortem examination held on Sunday gave the cause of death as a single stab wound to the chest.

A 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of violent disorder has been released on bail, the Met Police said.

Det Ch Insp James Shirley, from the force's specialist crime command, said: "Dedicated detectives have been working around the clock since this tragic incident as we strive to identify and apprehend those responsible for killing Jordan.

"Our investigation is making significant progress.

"Local people have provided us with information, which together with forensic inquiries and analysis of CCTV is enabling us to build a picture of what happened on Friday night."

He said there would be other people with information that could help the investigation and urged them to come forward.

Officers had originally been called out to reports of two groups fighting with machetes and a second man, aged 20, was also taken to hospital with a stab injury.

Police said his condition was not life-threatening.

Abstract

In 2005, the Swedish Crime Prevention Agency published a report about the link between immigration and crime. Since then, no comprehensive study has been conducted even though Sweden has experienced a large influx of migrants in combination with a rising crime rate. This study conducted by Göran Adamson and Tino Sanandaji is the first purely descriptive scientific investigation on the matter in fifteen years. The investigation (from 2002 to 2017) covers seven distinct categories of crime, and distinguishes between seven regions of origin. Based on 33 per cent of the population (2017), 58 per cent of those suspect for total crime on reasonable grounds are migrants. Regarding murder, manslaughter and attempted murder, the figures are 73 per cent, while the proportion of robbery is 70 per cent. Non-registered migrants are linked to about 13 per cent of total crime. Given the fact that this group is small, crime propensity among non-registered migrants is significant.(continua)

Murder inquiry after fatal stabbing in Croydon

A murder investigation is under way after a man in his 20s was found stabbed in south London.

The man was found injured in Pawsons Road, Croydon, on Tuesday evening, after what police believe was an "altercation" nearby.

Police, London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance all went to the scene. The man was taken to hospital, where he later died.

No arrests have been made and a crime scene remains in place.

A Met Police spokesperson said: "At this early stage it is believed the man sustained his injuries in nearby Mayo Road.

"Inquiries into the circumstances continue."

The London Ambulance Service added it, "treated one person at the scene and took them to a major trauma centre as a priority".

(ANSA) - LONDRA, 14 GIU - E' originario di un Paese dell'Africa occidentale, secondo i media britannici, il sospetto 31enne arrestato ieri in relazione all'attacco plurimo condotto nelle prime ore del mattino di ieri nel centro di Nottingham, in Inghilterra centrale, e sfociato nell'uccisione di tre persone, tutte accoltellate, e nel ferimento di altre tre, investite successivamente con un furgone.

La polizia locale ha coinvolto nelle indagini l'antiterrorismo, ma finora resta abbottonata sulla matrice dell'accaduto, limitandosi a ripetere di tenere "un occhio aperto" su vari possibili moventi.

Sono stati intanto resi noti oggi i nomi delle prime due vittime, uno studente e una studentessa dell'università di Nottingham, entrambi di neppure 20 anni: si chiamavano Barnaby Webber e Grace Kumar, e vengono ricordati come ragazzi sorridenti, sportivi e aperti alla vita sia dagli amici, sia dall'ateneo, sia da due strazianti messaggi scritti diffusi dalle rispettive famiglie.
Secondo la ricostruzione investigativa, sono stati accoltellati a morte per strada verso le 4 di mattina dallo stesso uomo che poi risulta aver ucciso in una via vicina un 54enne, per rubare il van da cui questi stava scaricando; e quindi, alla guida del mezzo, investire a poca distanza alcuni passanti. L'uomo, 31 anni, bloccato alla fine dalla polizia, resta al momento l'unico arrestato ed è stato oggi identificato come di origine africana, anche se al momento il suo nome è coperto dal riserbo investigativo.
