The first savior is Minchius who was human and reached his own enlightenment. He used his teachings to save the people while IN the world and would be affirmed with the T’ien T’ai school as they are the doctrinal school of Mahayana Buddhism.

The second type of Saviour is the Bodhisattva who was on the threshold of his own enlightenment but turned his back on it to go and help society reach salvation. He is affirmed through the Ch’an School- or meditation school of Mahayana Buddhism as the salvation is reached through calling on his name for help, he saves through the world by grace. The third savior is Tatnagata who reached enlightenment but then looked down from above and took pity on the suffering and vowed to save them all from the world through compassion. He is affirmed by the Ching-t’u or pure land school of Mahayana Buddhism.
