Virgin Express (TV/Brussels) will start operating a daily B737-300 flight between Amsterdam and Rome Fiumicino on behalf of tour operator Airtrade which will sell the flights under the brand name BudgetAir
Air Malta (KM/Malta) will give up its weekly flights to Hamburg and Stuttgart at the end of March; it will however start new weekly service to Helsinki, Porto and St. Petersburg. Air Malta will operate its B737-300 9H-ABS on behalf of Air New Zealand (NZ/Auckland) on a wet-lease basis for 10 weeks, an A320-200 will be operated on behalf of its subsidiary Azzurra Air (ZS/Milan Malpensa) on charter flights out of Manchester.
Air Finland (FIF/Helsinki) will start operations on March 30 with a single B757-200; it will operate charter flights from Helsinki to Antalya, Malaga, Nice, Trieste and Varna as well as some flights from airports in Northern Finland.
Aeris (SH/Toulouse) will start weekly B737-300 low-cost service from Paris Orly to Palermo on April 12 and to Alghero on July 1. It is also planning to start low-cost domestic flights out of Paris Orly. So far, it only operated low-cost flights on behalf of tour operators from Brest to Toulon and from Paris Orly to Ancona.
