Air Berlin (AB/Berlin Tegel) will start five times weekly Nuremberg-Rome Ciampino service with B737-800s on November 1.
Alitalia (AZ/Rome Fiumicino) is reportedly interested in taking an 80% stake in Meridiana (IG/Olbia).
Blue Airlines (Rome Ciampino) has suspended its Siena-Milan Linate service on July 11. From July 31, it will move its Milan-Elba Island services from Linate to Orio al Serio.
bmibaby (WW/East Midlands) will give up its East Midlands-Faro and East Midlands-Pisa routes at the end of October. It is reportedly looking at starting new routes from Cardiff to Manchester and Teesside and at setting up a fifth base in Belfast Intl or London Luton.
Gandalf Airlines (G7/Milan Orio al Serio) has given up its twice weekly Bari-Florence route due to a dispute with airport authorities in Florence. As a replacement, it launched daily service from Bari to Genoa and Pisa. It will also start twice daily service from Pisa to Catania with Do328JETs on July 28. Furthermore, it is planning to add services from Pisa to Cagliari and Palermo soon.
Germania (ST/Berlin Tegel) will start five times weekly Fokker 100 service from Berlin Tegel and Munich to Lisbon on August 15. It will add a new base in Bremen on November 1 basing two Fokker 100 aircraft at the airport. It is planning to serve Innsbruck, London Gatwick, Nice, Pisa, Rome Ciampino, Stockholm Arlanda, Venice Marco Polo, Vienna and Zurich.
Hapag-Lloyd (HF/Hanover) will start weekly B737-800 flights from Munich to Catania, Marsa Alam and Tenerife Norte in November.
Hapag-Lloyd Express (X3/Cologne/Bonn) will set-up a third base in Stuttgart in October. It will start daily B737-700 service from Stuttgart to Rome Ciampino and four times weekly service to Venice Marco Polo on October 26. On December 6, it will add daily flights from Stuttgart to Naples and Pisa. It will start six times weekly service from Cologne/Bonn to Klagenfurt on August 30 as well as thrice weekly service from Hanover to Klagenfurt. On September 22, it will a daily flight from Cologne/Bonn to Geneva to its network with four times weekly services from Cologne/Bonn to Bilbao and Seville being added on December 6.
Ryanair (FR/Dublin) will give up its Frankfurt Hahn-Bournemouth route in October. It will reportedly base an additional aircraft at Glasgow Prestwick in September to open new routes to Hamburg Luebeck and Milan Orio al Serio.

Virgin Express (TV/Amsterdam) is reportedly planning to set-up a base in Amsterdam offering new routes in addition to its Amsterdam-Rome Fiumicino route. It is planning to serve Athens, Barcelona, Copenhagen Kastrup, Madrid and Nice.
Volareweb.com (Venice Marco Polo), the low-cost division of Volare Airlines (VA/Verona), is reportedly planning to start flights between Turin and Bari.
