In effetti...il pentagramma invertito (ovvero, con punta rivolta verso il basso e non verso l'alto come nel normale pentagramma, che rappresenta i 4 elementi più l'etere) è usato per lo più dai satanisti.
Va detto peraltro che tale utilizzazione non è esclusiva, perchè esso simboleggia anche il secondo grado di iniziazione in alcune tradizioni neopagane.
Detto ciò..non so se l'inserimento nella tavola faccia riferimento al testo su Sir Gawain , che non ho letto.
Se così non fosse...sarebbe un elemento quantomeno singolare, soprattutto, per l'appunto, poichè invertito.
Infatti, se la punta rivolta verso l'altro rappresenta un'invocazione al Cielo, quella verso il basso...è più propriamente rivolta agli Inferi (tranne nella Tradizione a cui ho fatto cenno).
