7.58 - ATTACCO AEREO USA SU FALLUJA, SONO 17 I MORTI. Sono diciassette iracheni sono rimasti uccisi ed altri sei feriti, nell'attacco aereo sferrato stanotte dalle forze statunitensi che miravano a colpire case sospettate di ospitare covi di Abu Mussab al-Zarkawi, l'uomo di al-Qaeda in Iraq. Due edifici sono stati distrutti da altrettanti missili lanciati da un caccia statunitense verso le ore 23,45, nel quartiere residenziale Jebel di Falluja, focolaio della ribellione sunnita, 50 chilometri a ovest di Baghdad.

US air raid kills many civilians in Falluja






A fresh US air strike on the Iraqi town of Falluja has killed 18 people, including three children, according to local police and medical sources.


Aljazeera has learnt that two houses were destroyed when a US fighter jet fired two missiles late on Wednesday at the town's residential neighbourhood of Jabal, some 65km west of Baghdad.

A local journalist, Abu Bakr al-Dulaimi, said the blasts were so powerful that "bodies were scattered and thrown away about 50 metres from the place of the explosion.

"The US forces always allege that they have targeted houses used by Abu Musab al-Zaqawi while the Fallujans, many times, have denied such allegations which are groundless and false.

"Most casualties were old men and women and children", he added.

But US occupation forces insisted the strike targeted a safehouse used by followers of alleged al-Qaida leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

Ambulances and civilian cars transferred the dead and wounded to the hospital. Saif al-Din Taha of the Falluja general hospital told Aljazeera that all the wounded were ordinary civilian families.

Confirming that children are amongst the dead, Taha added that it was difficult to identify the corpses as "the bodies are torn to pieces".

"The strike, based on multiple intelligence sources, targeted two buildings used as safehouse and meeting points for al-Zarqawi associates who had executed someone on Wednesday," the US military claimed.

"The al-Zarqawi associates were observed removing a man from the trunk of a car, executing him then burying his body," the military said.

The latest air strike comes after US forces pounded the town on Saturday, killing five people and wounding 42 others.

US-led forces have targeted Falluja both from the land and air frequently in the past and laid a three-week siege of the town in April in a vain attempt to quell Iraqi resistance.

Ma questi sono morti in nome della "democrazia" e della "civilta'" ..al massimo sono "effetti collaterali" ..non sollevano l'indignazione pilotata di milioni di europei inebetiti dalla propaganda....nessun accorato appello, nessuna mobilitazione di giornalisti, politici, ..sono solo gente senza nome, senza volto, bambini che non sono degni di vivere ...Sono i signori NESSUNO.

In U$A hanno riempito una piazza con gli scarponi dei morti statunitensi in Iraq. La cosa è abbastanza sconcertante se si pensa a quante vite sono state stroncate per il capriccio di Bush.
Ma se si mettessero anche le scarpe, le ciabatte e le scarpine degli Iracheni di ogni età trucidati nella loro Nazione dagli statunitensi e dai loro lacchè si occuperebbe un'area ben più vasta.
