tutti pagati a spese pubbliche vostre naturalmente.

"We would like to reassure you that Kathmandu remains one of the safest places for a traveler
in the world. This is especially true for the hotel Yak & Yeti, located next to the present
Royal Palace. This is also true for Nepal in general. Since the beginning of the Maoist
insurgency 9 years ago, not a single tourist has been hurt. The only possible hassle for
tourists in some areas are Maoists asking for a contribution (typically $12). However, even
this is not the case for Kathmandu, and neither for Terai and the Everest areas, where we are
considering to organize an excursion after the conference.
Two astrophysicists, Andrzej Zdziarski and Piotr Zycki, have recently completed trips to Nepal,
including treks to the Everest and Annapurna areas, respectively. Neither of them have experienced
any kind of problems, and neither has even seen any Maoist."
