Musica - Liriche

Ispirandomi all'inserimento da parte di Arthur di un 3d cinematografico, vorrei qui segnalare i testi di canzoni in odore di "paganesimo".
Comincerò con due testi di Battiato e li affiancherò a due testi dei Manowar... Dimostrazione dell'affiorare di determinate idee in due generi musicali diversissimi.

Atlantide

E gli dei tirarono a sorte.
Si divisero il mondo:
Zeus la Terra,
Ade gli Inferi,
Poseidon il continente sommerso.
Apparve Atlantide.
Immenso, isole e montagne,
canali simili ad orbite celesti.

Questo bellissimo testo fa invece riferimento a dottrine neoplatoniche, mediate da certe correnti islamiche di ascendenza persiana.

Le sacre sinfonie del tempo

Le sento più vicine le sacre sinfonie del tempo
con una idea: che siamo esseri immortali
caduti nelle tenebre, destinati a errare;
nei secoli dei secoli, fino a completa guarigione.

Guardando l'orizzonte, un'aria di infinito mi commuove;
anche se a volte, le insidie di energie lunari,
specialmente al buio mi fanno vivere nell'apparente inutilità
nella totale confusione.

... Che siamo angeli caduti in terra dall'eterno
senza più memoria: per secoli, per secoli,
fino a completa guarigione.

Inviterei a riflettere sull'opera di questo Autore, che dimostra conoscenze esoteriche indubitabili.

Sarcofagia

Fu nefasta e temibile l’età del tempo
Di profonda e irrimediabile povertà
Quando ancora non si distingueva l’aurora dal tramonto
Quando l’aria della prima origine mischiata a torbida
E instabile umidità al fuoco ed alla furia dei venti
Celava il cielo e gli astri

Ispirato, come ammesso da Battiato stesso, al trattato di Porfirio sull'astinenza dalla carne...

Ecco un altro testo assolutamente profondo, che può essere oggetto di riflessione.
Per precisione, occorre dire che i testi, dall'epoca de L'ombrello e la macchina da cucire, sono stesi quasi sempre dal filosofo Sgalambro.

Il mantello e la spiga


Sotto l'ombra sospiravi

universe holds its breath. Wuotan has fallen on the Wigridhr
plain; swallowed by Fanjariho. For a moment the time stands

Qualcuno sa dirmi a che si riferisce con Fanjariho? E' un altro appellattivo di Fenrir?

Qui di seguito altri brani ispirati alla tradizione nordico-germanica, quella che nel rock duro ha avuto sicuramente la maggiore fortuna. Si tratta degli italici Doomsword. Tutte le liriche dell'album Let battle commence sono comunque meritevoli, essendo ispirate ad un evento storico poco conosciuto: la presa della cristiana York nell'886 d.c. da parte dei vichinghi, guidati dal re Ivar 'Senz'Ossa', il cui valore di vittoria 'pagana', avvenuta in uno dei maggiori momenti d'espansione della Chiesa, viene volutamente enfatizzata.
