Apparentemente è il manager pagato peggio nel settore dell'aviazione Europea. Tuttavia ci sono sempre le stock options a salvarlo dalla miseria![]()
O'Leary took no cut from Ryanair profits - The Irish Examiner says that Michael O'Leary, the outspoken boss of Ryanair, received no increase in his salary or bonus despite delivering a 30% rise in profits at the airline last year. The company's annual report shows Mr O'Leary received a basic salary of €505,000 in 2004/05 and a performance bonus of €127,000. The figures were the same as Mr O'Leary was paid in 2004. When pension contributions of €54,000 are added in, Mr O'Leary received a total of €686,000. The figures make him one of the worst paid chief executives of a major airline. Former Aer Lingus boss Willie Walsh made €544,000 last year even though the national carrier's profits are around a third of those made by Ryanair. The British Airways boss Rod Eddington made €850,000 in 2004. However, Mr O'Leary owns 35 million shares in the airline, currently valued at around €230m.
