Abbiamo aperto un nuovo 3D dedicato alla trasmissione di dati bibliografici relativamente all'Alchimia Tradizionale.
Il taglio delle argomentazioni sarà di tipo accademico e si limiterà ad elencare con breve commento alcune opere capitali per tutti coloro che entrano la prima volta in Alchimia.

L'Alchimia e la Chimica antica sono unite da momenti che potremmo definire "fondanti", ma la loro divisione avviene solo con Lavoisier e non per causa del metodo analitico. Per molti è ostico leggere in una lingua diversa dalla propria, soprattutto noi Italiani. Purtroppo però ci si chiede come mai solo pochissime (o forse addirittura nessuna) delle opere che fino ad oggi abbiamo elencato, non hanno avuto traduzione ?

L'opera di William Newman (e del suo collega L.M. Principe) è tra le più significative quale contributo di chiarezza nel panorama storico dell'Alchimia. I suoi testi sono un validissimo aiuto circa la contestualizzazione e l'attribuzione autografa di opere quali quelle del Filalete (o dei vari "Filaleti", tra cui T. Vaughan) e altri. Da qualche parte leggemmo che la vera identità di Ireneus Philalethe era "incerta". Nulla di più falso. Philalethe era il chimico e filosofo W. Starkey, capostipite della scuola helmothiana del XVII secolo, un gruppo di pensatori che contribuirono a demolire sistematicamente molti "miti" gravitanti intorno all'Alchimia, e a restituire a questa disciplina il suo rango. Ma, ovviamente, molti preferiscono vedere Philalethe come l'Adepto autore dell' Introitus ad Regiis Palatium...
Tra essi il grande J. S. Weidenfeld, la cui opera De Secretis Adeptorum (daremo riferimenti nella sezione dedicata ai testi classici) è importante non tanto per i testi citati ma quanto per i commenti dello stesso autore, che operò replicando le procedure citate dai classici e ne dedusse che...

Ora, comunicheremo alcuni testi interessanti che dovrebbero far riflettere.
L'opera della Obrist, dove si parla della collocazione più significativa dell'iconografia alchemica. I testi di Pagel su Van Helmont (da ricollegarsi agli studi di Newmann e Principe); particolarmente interessante quello sul pensiero Filosofico e religioso dell'alchimista secentesco. Poi il Powers, molto interessante, per quanti pensano che in Lemery ci sia il segreto per la confezione del Mercurio Filosofico, quando al contrario, l'autore del Course de Chymie fu tra coloro che abbandonarono il concetto alchemico di microcosmo e macrocosmo, a favore delle nascenti concezioni flogistiche.
