Per Pieralvise e tutti gli altri interessati, il librone dei manifesti sovietici descrive così quello del russo tutto d'un pezzo che rifiuta la sgnàpa:
"Over the decades anti-alcoholism propaganda appeared on many Soviet posters. From the 1920s on, the Soviet government tried to establish new moral values and fight against this social problem. This poster was created in 1954, when hundreds of thousands of young people travelled to work in the Urals and Siberia to replace the Gulag prisoners producing coal, petrol, uranium, gold and diamonds. At this time the sense of fear created during the Stalin era was diminishing, moral values were disappearing, yet alcohol consumpion was kept down due to relatively low incomes. This poster is one Viktor Govorkov's masterpieces. His hero makes a decision to choose a sober way of life"
