L'utilizzo della clientela è il fulcro delle elezioni. All'inizio del gioco ogni partecipante ha un certo numero di decurie (10 unità) da ripartire nelel centurie delle cinque classi di censo, e nelle Tribù.
La ripartizione omogenea delle decurie è compito del gruppo che modera il gioco (non necessariamente i moderatori del forum).
In seguito il numero delle decurie controllate può essere aumentato per acquisizione o di diritto.
Di diritto nei casi in cui il prestigio del giocatore aumenti in seguito ad onori o carice, per acquiszione spendendo una parte dle proprio patrimonio come sovvenzione ad una nuova decuria.

Una decuria di clienti si può acquisire versando all'Aerarium il controvalore del censo di un cittadino che ne faccia parte, o trasferendo l'equivalnete in iugeri (es. una decuria della prima classe costa 40.000 assi o 40 iugeri). L'attribuzione della decuria deve essere fatta priritariamente alle centurie di iuniores, e non è possibile acquisire più di una decuria alla settimana. Le decurie della Centuria dei capite censi, comportano l'esborso dell'equivalente di due iugeri.
La compravendita di terreni fra i giocatori è libera. la vendita di terreni, o la loro donazione alla plebe, da parte dello Stato è deliberata dal Senato.
Ogni giocatore che acquisisca una carica pubblica o un sacerdozio pubblico riceve una nuova decuria. Se la carica o il sacerdozio lo fanno appartenere ai primi ordines del Senato riceve due decurie. Ad ogni Consolato riceve cinque decurie.
