Ricordo che quando uscì Kiss Me Kiss Me fu una mazzata. Uno shock negativo che faceva il paio con Through The Looking Glass dei Banshees. Il Dark sembrava essere finito, quelli che erano stati i gruppi più importanti ora guardavano ad artisti rock e funky come Prince e te li ritrovavi su DeeJay Television. Con Close To Me i Cure erano diventati un gruppo pop e la disperazione di Pornography sembrava non essere mai esistita. Siouxsie si era tagliata i capelli a caschetto, novella Luoise Brooks, a rimarcare un taglio netto con il passato. Fu il 1987 un anno difficile per me, che avevo terminato il Liceo Artistico e mi iscrivevo al Primo anno di Scenografia, all'Accademia di Belle Arti, senza le idee chiare riguardo al mio futuro. La fase più bella era passata. La ricordo con un brano dei Cure che mi ricorda tanti giorni trascorsi in compagnia al mio amico di ascolti dark, che amava i Cure quanto e più di me e che aveva chiamato il suo gatto... Push.

Ai tempi i Cure non erano nei miei interessi,con il senno di poi devo dire che Kiss me e' un gran bel album con canzoni pop stupende...c'e' anche molta sperimentazione oscura (The snakepit,If Only Tonight We Could Sleep,Like Cockatoos…)Secondo me un loro classico "post dark".Ma adoro anche il tanto bistrattato Wild Mood swing e forse non faccio testo
Push che canzone fantastica
