Not many people eat bread probably also because what they have is really bad, I have been in places where they sell continental bread (mostly italian french and german)

You hear people keep telling...but there are many germans who like to enjoy their lives and not adapt too much, especially in the west part people are emancipated compared to the eastern krautz. Where I used to work most people were just brainless robots, I thought they where used to it...bullshit, as soon as our discussions became more confidential with some of them I discovered in reality they hate their working condition, but they accept it and shut up, he said "what can I do", the same guy who is 29 years old told me I wish I could go to work to u.s.a, but unfortunately for my age it is too late (!!!!!!!!!) bunch of idiots, many of them have been working there for ages, which means being a master in their field, they could find a job everywhere in the world in no time!

Compared to 10 years ago the population seems to be slightly more relaxed, probably the low cost flights to spain greece and portugal must have contributed too.

Again another one telling me how happy I was leaveing england, as I said so many times I cannot even remember how many, the reasons are different, I was attracted by the fact here there are no chavs around neither exist areas colonized by similar kind of people. Here if I go out weekends I still have no problems to admit I enjoy it more. But I cannot wake uup early the whole week, work like a donkey only to get a nicer weekend, when in england maybe places look rougher but at least I can go out some evenings during the week, and I can go to bed at 12pm , now got the message?

It is not so easy especially since the eastern countries joined the european community, but obviously it also depends where you are,
but in general you should have more chances if you are extroverted and smiling enough in order to get a job in pubs and stuff like that.
I have never been in scotland, it never attracted me not even when I used to live in manchester, that s the closest point to scotland I have been.
