I AM THE ILL EARTH

I am the ill Earth
People have cut down the trees,
which are my lungs.

They have polluted the air,
which is my brain.

They have polluted the streams,
which are my blood vessels.

They have polluted the oceans,
which are the chambers of my heart.

My wrath has gotten gigantic.
My wrath is hurricanes and tornadoes.

I am the ill Earth.

If people trash me,
I will die and so will they.

Meravigliosa è la poesia scritta da questa ragazzina, piuttosto che la mia idea
È di una semplicità così reale da essere disarmante! È talmente vivida l’immagine che ti si forma nella mente da spiazzarti!

EARTH THOUGHTS

How long can our earth survive?
Nobody knows.
People dont't realize what trouble our planet is in
They only hear the birds chirping happily
and smell the roses blooming.
They only want to believe the good things in life-
not think about the earth's problems.
Maybe if everyone realized what troubles the earth
faces--polluted water and air, destruction of
our rain forests, litter everywhere--
Maybe if everyone did his share to help
do something about these problems,
Then people could go back to thoughts of
the sound of birds chirping
And the smell of roses blooming
