Vero, peccato che ci sia quasi sempre la bruma, a volte nelle rarissime giornate terse si riesce a vedere Venezia .

(La prossima volta che ci sali, scendi dalla parte di Seren del Grappa, il paesaggio e' molto piu bello quando arrivi giu' sei praticamente in Valsugana)

credo di aver fatto quella strada al rientro, perchè ci siamo trovati proprio in Valsugana.....è tappa d'bbligo il Grappa per chi ama la moto

There are a lot of one-bedroom condos/townhouses for $170,000 or less that I imagine bring down the average home value. If you want a house like the ones in the picture, it will cost a lot more than that. (I'm just going by what I've seen with the houses advertised for sale on the island...they cost a lot more than the same house would in a different area). You've also got to be prepared to pay a lot in property taxes each year, and in upkeep of the yard.

The average income is also a lot lower, since the people with the money only stay there during the summer.

The Grand Hotel costs a few hundred/night, but instead you can stay in a hotel in Mackinac City (on the mainland) and then take a ferry to the island during the day. When I go there it's just a day trip, so I don't have to stay in a hotel. Once you're on the island, you can pretty much just walk to wherever you want to go. There are always a lot of tourists there.

No, they're about 5 hours apart. Ann Arbor is in Southern Michigan. Mackinac Island is near the Mackinac Bridge, which connects the Upper and Lower Peninsulas.

I know where Ann Arbor is, because my father spent two semesters there while studing engineering in the '60s.
