In tale incontro verranno annunciate nuove rotte internazionali. 'Voci' dalla compagnia indicano che una di queste potrebbe essere probabilmente Milano.
Vedremo se sarà confermata...wait and see.

Get Ready to Say 'Ciao, Ola or Hej' With New US Airways Service to Milan, Italy; Lisbon, Portugal; and Stockholm, Sweden From Its Philadelphia Hub

TEMPE, Ariz., Feb. 9, 2006 -- Today, US Airways (NYSE: LCC) customers have more ways to jet off to Europe thanks to new service from Philadelphia to Milan, Italy; Lisbon, Portugal; and Stockholm, Sweden. With this new service - starting in May and June - US Airways offers 19 daily flights to 16 cities in 10 countries throughout Europe.

"Our international presence is a key element that sets the new US Airways apart from other low-cost carriers, and we are thrilled to grow that presence through today's announcement," said US Airways President and CEO Doug Parker. "We are extremely grateful to Philadelphia Mayor John F. Street and Philadelphia Airport Director Charles J. Isdell, who played crucial roles in ensuring our commitment to offer more international destinations to the citizens of Philadelphia and surrounding areas becomes a reality. On behalf of the new US Airways' 35,000 aviation professionals, we also extend our thanks to the Philadelphia community for continuing to believe in and fly with us."

The new European service, subject to foreign-government approval, is scheduled as follows.

*Terms and conditions: advertised fares are based on required roundtrip Coach travel from Philadelphia, Charlotte, New York City, Phoenix, and Orlando and are available only at usairways.com and americawest.com. Tickets purchased through Reservations or other ticketing locations will incur additional fees of $5-$10. Tickets must be purchased by 2/27/06, and within 24 hours of making the reservation. A minimum Saturday-night stay is required. Travel is valid from service start date and must be completed by 6/31/06. Tickets are non-refundable. A per passenger $200 change fee, plus any additional fare amount due, will be charged if the reservation is changed after purchase. If the entire reservation is canceled on/before the scheduled date of travel, the ticket will retain value and can be used toward another nonrefundable ticket less a $200 US Airways administration fee, up to one year after its original issue date. New travel must be completed within one year from the original date of issue. Any subsequent changes to the exchanged tickets will incur at minimum an additional $200 fee. If the reservation is not canceled on/before the original travel date, the entire ticket will have no further value. Taxes and fees: Sample price does not include federal excise taxes of $3.30 per segment, Passenger Facility Charges of $9.00 to $18.00 per passenger, and the September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 per segment (up to $10 per itinerary). I voli su MXP iniziano il 30 Maggio e sembrano non essere stagionali almeno nelle intenzioni, anche se cmq sul sito non vengono programmati più a partire dal 29 Ottobre. Probabilmente devono ancora decidere 'come' tenerlo in inverno. Vedremo più avanti.

Fare PHL-MXP con US con un 767 sarebbe un incubo. L'uncica cosa decente di questa compagnia sono gli A330! Tutto il resto fa pena...
