SAS Cargo signs all-cargo co-operation with Air China

SAS Cargo will increase air cargo capacity between Scandinavia and China by about 100 tons per week, with a new co-operation with Air China, beginning in September.

According to SAS Cargo CEO Kenneth Marx, the agreement with Air China is the result of a very intensive search to find additional capacity to China, which is the most important market for air cargo right now.

Air China's Boeing 747-200F will land three times a week in Copenhagen, Denmark. The trip includes stops in both Beijing and Shanghai.

The co-operation also provides Air China with an option to buy capacity on board SAS' aircrafts to China.

Since 2001, SAS Cargo's capacity between Scandinavia and China has increased by 500%.

SAS Cargo is founding member of the WOW air cargo alliance, which includes Lufthansa Cargo, Singapore Airlines Cargo and Japan Airlines Cargo. SAS Cargo also has freighter co-operations with Korean Air Cargo and Emirates SkyCargo on selected destinations in Asia and the US. The co-operation with all these companies give SAS Cargo approximately 1,300 departures daily to 220 destinations around the world.

Dato di fatto è che in Scandinavia sta crescendo parecchio il traffico cargo, CA cargo su CPH oggi e solo settimana scorsa sono stati annunciati nuovi voli di CX cargo e KE cargo su ARN.
