Da qualche tempo mi do a svariate battaglie verbali in un forum italiano dedicato alla thailandia: www.sawadee.it. Il cancro dello sfruttamento della prostituzione sembra totalmente appoggiato da gente a cui non frega assolutamente un cazzo della cultura di un popolo o delle loro tradizioni per gran parte caplestate da un occupazione militare che definire vigliacca e demoniaca sarebbe superfluo. Sembra allucinante ma è purtroppo vero che in tale forum e in altri simili, ci sia gente che si erge ad eroe di prestazioni sessuali a pagamento estreme in una terra che negli anni 50 ne sapeva veramente poco di queste cose. La cosa che poi fa drizzare ancora più i capelli è il fatto che anche moderatori e altri membri tutori dello stesso sito appoggiano e BANNANO, come successo al sottoscritto chi gli spiattella in faccia la loro miserabile ignomia e la loro pochezza e totale inutilià in questa esistenza. Il colpo di stato in Thailandia sembra aver acceso in loro la paura che i loro locali di puttaneggiamento finascano nel dimenticatoio e che non trovino più le loro bestioline da sbattersi pronte a vendersi per qualche baht in più magari da regalare al proprio aguzzino. A questo punto volevo sapere varie cose, la prostituzione essendo illegale in Thailandia (secondo facciata) ma mai punita potrebbe essere eliminata in parte da un nuovo esecutivo progressista socialista? o magari filomussulmano? c'è una via di scampo a questa ignobile piaga? Condivido la tua indignazione. Questo è solo uno dei tanti aspetti della tanto decantata superiorità e giustezza della cultura occidentale che molti forumisti qui si sperticano a difendere. La prostituzione in Thailandia soprattutto a Bangkok e nelle grandi città della nazione è più che tollerata in quanto è una delle entrare principali del turismo, che vede una larga parte degli introiti proprio dal turismo sessuale. Il bello è che le prostitute thailandesi sono soprattutto minorenni e in buona parte anche bambine visto che la nicchia più schifosa ma anche più redditizia di questo commercio di carne umana è la prostituzione per pedofili che dal Belgio, dall'Olanda, dalla Svizzera ma anche dagli Stati Uniti e dall'Italia vanno in Thailandia alla ricerca di prede.
Pari discorso potrebbe essere fatto per la cambogia ma in maniera minore.
Per quanto riguarda il tuo discorso su come contrastare questo fenomeno direi che dalla Thailandia per il momento non ci si può aspettare nulla a parer mio in quanto questo colpo di stato non è nè socialista nè rivoluzionario nè tantomeno militare e totalitario come quello in Myanmar ma un colpo di stato per ora dichiaratamente realista e contro il premier Thaksin.
Per quanto riguarda il tuo discorso su un governo musulmano mi pare proprio fuori dalla realtà. In Thailandia i musulmani sono una minoranza davvero esigua e completamente tagliata fuori dai giochi di potere. La popolazione è quasi totalmente buddhista hinayana (quelli che considerano Buddha un vero e proprio Dio).
Si dovrebbe intervenire negli stati da cui parte questo turismo sessuale.

Veramente ci spero ancora che questa nuova amministrazione prenda dei provvedimenti al fenomeno spero nel fatto che il principale generale autore del colpo di stato è un mussulmano e come tale spero che tuteli i principi della propria religione e stili una diversa costituzione che dia un raggio a nuove leggi mirate a contrastare i delinquenti criminali che guadagnano da questo giro. Legal issues in the United States
Federal law (see PROTECT Act of 2003) prohibits United States citizens or permanent residents to engage in international travel with the purpose or effect of having commercial sex with a person under the age of 18, or any sex with a person under the age of 16; the age of consent in the target country is irrelevant. Facilitating such travel is also illegal. Prosecutions under this law are very rare.

As of 2005, there has been one effort to go after a sex tour operator: Big Apple Oriental Tours of New York was prosecuted for "promotion of prostitution" by the New York State Attorney General after lobbying by feminist human rights groups. The case was thrown out twice.

HR 972, the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2005. A full copy of HR 972 can be found at [2] HR 972 reauthorizes the 2000 law, but it also gives U.S. law enforcement better tools to study human trafficking within the United States and to prosecute those who purchase sex acts. The measure authorizes $50 million for grants to state and local law enforcement to investigate and prosecute persons who engage in the purchase of commercial sex acts.

Servaty scandal
In 2005 it was reported that Philippe Servaty, a newspaper columnist for Le Soir, traveled to Morocco where he persuaded women to do degrading things by promising to marry and bring them to Belgium. He then posted photos online to boast of his conquests, but when his explicit materials were circulated back to Morocco many of the women were arrested, had their lives ruined, committed suicide or simply disappeared.
