Irlanda grande squadra senza alcun dubbio...............tuttavia rendiamo omaggio anche agli azzurri "italioti" che sono scesi in campo : anche se il tricolore non rappresenta bene la specificità delle nostra terre, i ragazzi con la maglia azzurra (molti sono del nord-italia) in questo sei nazioni hanno dato tutto............

E poi il Rugby in sè al di là delle nazionalità, è uno sport, in sè, decisamente celtico (direi). E chiunque lo pratica ha in sè un po di spirito celtico............

I trust you will appreciate if I consider telling my opinion in this dialogue in which I am not an invited party.
Ireland presently consists of two politically different entities, one of which is occupied by a foreign State, the UK, having little in common with it.
Also Padania and most of the Regions surrounding it belong politically to a State, the Italian Republic, with which they do not share identity and way of life. Therefore it looks appropriate to support people being in a similarly distressing situation.
As far as Melbourne is regarded, a cousin of mine lives also there and is quite unaware of the word "Padania", but very aware of what "Patrie dal Friul" means.

It's difficult to explain well the historic course of ours lands, Simona.

It's commonly reported on history books that Northern Italy (or Padania) was known, before roman conquest, as "Cisalpine Gallia" ; an area occupied and colonized by Celitc tribes in V sec.a.c. At that time, all western continental Europe was occupied by Gallic tribes. "Continental" Celts (and in british isles the "insular" Celts).

After roman conquest, Celtic tribes were romanized, but doesn't disappear (neither in France, neither in north-Italy), so a residual of that origin persisted in our lands.................
