Patrick Robinson refuses to act as judge in case of R.Karajic
The Chairman for the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia Patrick Robinson has refused to act as a judge in the case of Radovan Karajic, who is accused of crimes against humanity, because he has no right to act as a chairman and a judge at one and the same time. This came in the tribunal’s statement that was spread in The Hague. German Christopher Fliger has been appointed the new judge now. Karajic was arrested in Serbia and extradited to The Hague in late July. He is accused of crimes against humanity and of violating laws and customs of war during the conflict in Bosnia-Herzegovina in the early 90s of the last century.
