Il presidente di IBERIA Régional / Air Nostrum presenta il programma estivo della compagnia, in particolare i servizi stagionali operati nel periodo 22 Luglio-3 Settembre includendo anche gli incrementi di servizi su altre rotte operate tutto l'anno.


I am proud to present our new special summer flight programme designed especially for you and the rest of our passengers.
AIR NOSTRUM has gone to great lengths in its endeavour to design a flight timetable with connections to as many holiday resorts as possible and has used all the means at its disposal to ensure that this new timetable meets your, and the rest of our passengers’, highest expectations.
We shall, thanks to the sustained effort of our staff, be operating a total of 155 flight routes this summer (half a dozen more than last summer). Readers may be interested to hear that our new summer timetable includes 50 special summer flight routes and 20 increased frequency flight routes.
I am pleased to say that this new summer timetable represents another milestone in the extraordinary trajectory of AIR NOSTRUM since we shall, between 22nd July and 3rd September, be operating 19,398 flights with seating capacity for some 1,069,150 passengers. By the way, please accept my sincere apologies if, due to circumstances beyond our control, you suffer, or have suffered, some kind of mishap when using our regional flight service. And having said that, I am sure that I do not have to remind you that our staff works day and night to provide you, and the rest of our passengers, with what many consider to be one of the best regional flight services on the market. I am referring, of course, to staff members that work, for example, in the AIR NOSTRUM Flight Control Department.
This summer AIR NOSTRUM will be operating from 62 European and African airports, providing flights to the entire Spanish territory and reinforcing its position as the only regional airline to operate in each of Spain’s autonomous regions.
This increase in flight connections represents an important contribution to one of our most important aims. I am talking about our aim to improve flight communications whilst collaborating in the development of an efficient national air transport network.
Our new timetable also plays an important role in providing passengers with alternative holiday destinations. With this in mind, we have introduced flight services between Valencia and Venice; Madrid and Olbia and Catania; Ibiza and Bologna and Nice; La Rioja, Pamplona and Valladolid and Malaga; Seville and Vigo; the Canary Islands and Santiago de Compostela; Minorca and Murcia, Seville, Malaga, Bilbao and Zaragoza; Barcelona and Palermo etc. As mentioned previously, we shall be operating over 50 summer flight routes.
Whilst we are on this subject, I would like to mention the important contribution these new flight routes and connections make to the Spanish tourism sector. This sector is, as I am sure many of you are aware, one of the most important with regard to maintaining the Spanish national economy. I am sure I do not have to emphasis the amount of effort needed to build up a good communications network. The same amount of effort needed to create new markets in this ever increasingly globalised world.
AIR NOSTRUM has acquired great expertise with regard to adapting its offer to the demands of the regional aviation market. This expertise permits us to detect fluctuating levels of market demand and adapt our flight programmes accordingly with measures such as those mentioned above.

Sempre il presidente della compagnia, in un altro articolo, fa presente come sia importante Air Nostrum per l'aeroporto di VLC in primis (aeroporto in cui è basata la regional di Iberia) ma anche per gli altri scali della Comunidad Valenciana, incluso ALC.
A tal proposito si fa cenno anche del nuovo collegamento estivo Valencia-Venezia.


It is said that, ‘Nobody is a prophet in their own land’. Fortunately, this is not the case as far as AIR NOSTRUM is concerned since our Company has managed to make a 180 degree turn becoming Valencia Airport’s leading flight operator with figures that could be described as historical. It is a great honour, after eleven years of operations, to have been awarded the pole position in our home city, a city to which we owe so much. AIR NOSTRUM is, today, at the top of the official ranking list with regard to flight operations thanks to the fact that our Company operated 43% of the flights arriving and departing from Valencia during 2005, a 28% increase on the figure for 2004.
This increase has turned us into the leading airline with operations to and from Valencia with approximately one million passengers and a 54% increase compared to 2004.
A record figure that has provided us with a 21.7% share of the number of passengers travelling to and from Valencia and a 21.8% share of the seats available (a 38% increase with regard to the figure recorded during 2004). AIR NOSTRUM is, without the shadow of a doubt, the leading airline with regard to destinations to and from Valencia. If we were to add to the above the number of passengers who have travelled with AIR NOSTRUM to and from Alicante, we would be talking of an amazing total of 1,088,847 passengers.
In Alicante we are the leading airline as far as national flights are concerned and can proudly say that we have recorded an increase of 54% during 2005 with regard to the number of passengers transported, a 34% increase in the number of flights and a further 34% increase in the number of seats available.
As I have mentioned on previous occasions, all of this would be impossible without you. We never would have managed to get to where we are today without your help for which we are very grateful. I am sure that you are aware that any effort would in vain without your important collaboration.
We would like to reward the confidence you have placed in us and, with this in mind, shall continue improving our flight offer to and from the Comunidad Valenciana.
I am not referring to isolated initiatives. To the contrary, I am talking about a general plan to improve the Comunidad Valenciana’s airline communications and something on which to base our future. This decision has been taken to benefit, above all, the members of the Comunidad Valencia. Having introduced, during 2005, four new direct flight routes, including two international routes, from Valencia, we shall, during 2006, be operating a total 18 flight routes to and from Valencia. We began last month operating daily flights to Tenerife to which we shall, this month, be adding two new flight frequencies to Lisbon to be followed shortly by the inauguration of a flight route to Venice. As far as Alicante is concerned, I would mention that during 2005 we introduced five new direct flight routes from this important national and international destination. The figures speak for themselves. We shall, during 2006, be offering the Comunidad Valenciana a total of 28 direct flight routes continuing, at the same time, to study other possible destinations.
As many of you, I am sure, are aware, sustained economic growth can only be maintained when based on quality, technological development, enterprise and the use of human resources as the cornerstone of development, over and above any other factor, including capital resources. It is for this reason I consider the Company’s human resources to be an important force behind our huge success for which they deserve my unconditional support. It is obvious to me that without them and without you, we never would have got this far.
