Fedeindustria consists mostly of small to medium companies, which have been given a boost under the Chavez Administration.
* The last three surveys undertaken by the organization also shows a growing demand of the internal market and a rise in the productive capacity of the country.
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez Frias attended the closing ceremony and has announced the setting up of a fund of $100 million to develop 1,500 projects.
Fedeindustria president, Miguel Perez Abad states that Venezuelan business persons are ready to make sacrifices if necessary if it means economic growth, sustainable development and improved quality of life.
During the meeting Fedeindustria assembly have decided to recognize small to medium industries called pymes as vehicles to develop productive capacities in the region.
Unlike the opposition Confederation of Chambers of Industries (Conindustria), Fedecamaras has welcomed Venezuela's entry into the Southern Cone Economic Zone (Mercosur) and is setting up the necessary structure to work within the organization.
A study will be undertaken to study productive capabilities and industrial complementation in the region to identify specific projects and branches of activity.
