A me per niente, anzi. E sarebbe molto piu' logica come partner, considerando l'alleanza oneworld e il 10% gia' in mani BA.
Sarebbe la soluzione con meno cambiamenti necessari
E i cambiamenti sono costi.

Texas Pacific Group is considering a 3.4 billion-euro ($4.5 billion) takeover bid for Iberia Lineas Aereas de Espana SA, Spain's largest airline, as trans-Atlantic carriers prepare for more access to routes next year.
Texas Pacific, a buyout firm, has asked for information about the carrier as it mulls a cash offer of 3.60 euros a share, Madrid-based Iberia said today in a regulatory filing. British Airways Plc, which owns 10 percent of the Spanish carrier, said it's considering selling and has appointed UBS AG as adviser.
Iberia's stock has risen 45 percent this year on speculation a new treaty between the U.S. and the European Union may hasten a bid. The ``open skies'' accord will allow EU airlines including Deutsche Lufthansa AG and British Airways to fly from any of the bloc's airports to the U.S. as of March 2008 instead of just from their home countries, which could encourage consolidation by putting extra competitive pressure on smaller airlines.
Ricordo al proposito che BA possiede il 10% ma ha anche un'opzione di veto per ulteriore 30% sulle relative offerte di altri partners.
Di fatto per decidere su eventuali offerte BA può vantare il 40% di peso.
