Io son fermamente contrario al rinvio, ma un anno glielo dai perché a quel punto le possibilità che la Brexit salti in toto diventano molto alte.

Voglio credere che la UE stia proponendo un rinvio lungo solo per il gioco del cerino: sapendo che i tory e la May avrebbero grosse difficoltà ad accettarlo, allora lo propongono per farselo rifiutare e scaricarsi da eventuali accuse di aver causato il no-deal.

Ma non ci metterei la mano sul fuoco...

So I argue, as a Brexiteer, that we need to take a long deep breath. We need to swallow our pride, and think again. Maybe it means rethinking the Brexit decision altogether ...

If we are honest, we Brexiteers have to admit that the economic arguments for Brexit have been destroyed by a series of shattering blows ...

It has become clear to me, though I’ve been a strong Tory Brexiteer, that Britain’s departure from the EU will be as great a disaster for our country as the over-mighty unions were in the 1960s and 1970s.

Lacrime di coccodrillo dei sovranisti! Ci avrebbero dovuto pensare prima. La verità è che la realtà si sta rivolgendo contro l’arroganza degli inglesi che ancora credono di vivere nella Londra imperiale. In un modo sempre più globalizzato e dove stanno emergendo grandi stati super-popolati il futuro non sono le piccole nazioni europee l'una contro l'altra ed etero-dirette da Washington, Mosca o Pechino ma una grande e unita federazione europea che possa parlare con una sola voce.

Intanto in previsione dell’uscita del Regno Unito dalla UE si è presa la grave e pericolosa decisione di permettere negli ospedali, i centri universitari e le aziende di superare il limiti di accumulo di rifiuti radioattivi perché si teme l’interruzione della catena di approvvigionamento. Insomma il governo dà il permesso di superare i limiti se le aziende si dovessero rendere conto che con l’uscita dalla Ue non saranno più in grado di esportare questi residui o, al contrario, non dovessero riuscire ad ottenere le scorte sufficienti.
