Sicuramente Democratici, a meno che non riuscissi a trovare i Socialdemocratici Statunitensti (che esistono, come segnala il sito dell'internazionale socialista).

Però a vedere che mi troverei nel partito insieme a Gianfranco e Libero mi fa venire qualche dubbio...o qualche brivido...

Esistono, esistono, ma dal 3,1 di Eugene Debs alle presidenziali del 1904(mi sembra) sono sprofondati nel nulla. Purtroppo un voto dato a loro sarebbe solo un voto regalato a Bush, grazie al Winner-takes-all che vige negli USA. Effettivamente essere nello stesso partito di Gianfranco e Libero è quantomeno interrogativo...

SI Council to meet in Rome

Leaders and representatives from the 141 member parties and organisations worldwide of the Socialist International (SI) and specially invited guests will convene in Rome on 20-21 January 2003 for a meeting of the SI Council, hosted by the two Italian member parties of the International, the Democrats of the Left, DS, and the Italian Democratic Socialists, SDI.

The Council takes place in advance of both the World Social Forum in Porto Alegre and the World Economic Forum in Davos, and under its first main theme:‘For a More Equal Global Society’, a panel discussion entitled "Our message to Davos and Porto Alegre’ has been programmed, focussing debate on the issues concerned.

‘For a World More Peaceful and Secure’ is the second main theme of the Council, providing the opportunity to discuss areas of concern such as the Middle East, South Eastern Europe, Africa, Central and South Asia, and Colombia. Under this theme, delegates and guests will take part in two panel discussions: ‘the Middle East: how to put the Israeli-Palestinian peace process back on track’ and ‘Peace and stability in the Balkans’.

The third main theme, ‘Our Democratic Commitment’ will focus on defending democracy around the world and will include a panel discussion on ‘Working for democracy where it is most at risk’.
