certo ognuno puo' notare la somiglianza dell' impero "anglosassone" con quello romano...Infatti

1) i veri anglosassoni sono OGGI maggioranza negli usa come i veri romani lo erano a roma ALLORA .

2) e se anche i " veri" scarseggiano COME ALLORA bastera' alla spravvivenza dell' impero COME ALLORA estendere la cittadinanza e la lingua a tutti i sottoposti ..

Trovo un tantino azzardato fare un parallelo fra i Romani di ieri e gli americani di oggi...!

Gli anglosassoni non sono un popolo germanico. Gli anglosassoni sono stati la rovina della Germania ( e della razza europeide). In riguardo, valgono due osservazioni:
a-la "nordicità" inglese fu sempre sopravvalutata: la popolazione dell'isola inglese è ed è sempre stata fondamentalmente di ceppo occidentale/mediterraneo;
b-classificare l'inglese come una lingua germanica è scientificamente un grossolano errore.

Mi trovi perfettamente d'accordo nell'affermare che gli anglosassoni sono stati la piaga della Germania!

Nella pratica sono riusciti a sovvertire la grande laboriosità e l'ingegno dei popoli germanici. Ho sempre avuto stima dei tedeschi perchè in parte mi hanno cresciuto. Mi ha sempre dato un grande senso di disagio vedere la loro deriva, ora dovuta principalmente al ricambio generazionale, per seguire le filosofie di stampo anglosassoni.

Sui punti "a" e "b" mi hai dato delle informazioni che prima davo per scontate.

The historical record shows that the Roman civilization fell because the original Romans vanished: in the North they were absorbed into the racially similar but culturally dissimilar Western Europeans; in the south the Romans were absorbed into the racially alien North African and Middle Eastern populations.

Unsurprisingly the genetic evidence tracks these historical events closely.

Caveat: It is important to bear in mind that these results do not imply that all modern Italians are of mixed origin.

Joining the Pillars of Hercules: mtDNA Sequences Show Multidirectional Gene Flow in the Western Mediterranean

Phylogenetic analysis of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) performed in Western Mediterranean populations has shown that both shores share a common set of mtDNA haplogroups already found in Europe and the Middle East. Principal co-ordinates of genetic distances and principal components analyses based on the haplotype frequencies show that the main genetic difference is attributed to the higher frequency of sub-Saharan L haplogroups in NW Africa, showing some gene flow across the Sahara desert, with a major impact in the southern populations of NW Africa.

Each of the subregions analysed (NW Africa and SW Europe) shows sequences that originated on the opposite shore of the Mediterranean. This is particularly clear in the case of U6 and L in SW Europe. L sequences are found at frequencies 3% in Iberia and 2.4% in Italy. Given the relatively high frequencies of L sequences in NW Africa, it is not clear whether they were contributed by the historical populations movements from the south to the north of the Mediterranean (such as the Moslem invasions of the 7th-11th centuries), or whether its presence is associated with other processes not directly linked to NW Africa.

Three Italian L sequences have been described throughout Africa, and the remaining five are not found in >1,000 sub-Saharan individuals. Thus, the presence of L sequences cannot be attributed to migration from NW Africa, and may instead represent gene flow from other sources, such as the Neolithic expansion or the Roman slave trade.
